If you’d of asked me 3 weeks ago I’d of said no chance, now I’m not so sure. We’ve slept walked through the transfer window. Funny how it became a scramble on TDD wasn’t it? I suppose we are at the mercy of lots of other teams though for players in/out.

Can’t score, can’t defend, player and management rifts, a pissed off fan base. This club has the complete recipe for relegation. But I think we’ll just about avoid it. Just.

Didn’t think there was an earthly at the turn of the year but it’s a realistic prospect now.

I think it’s coming unfortunately.
We haven’t got a good enough team - simple as that, we are full of poor players with bad work ethic.

If you’d of asked me 3 weeks ago I’d of said no chance, now I’m not so sure. We’ve slept walked through the transfer window. With our Director of Football and recruitment guru? Surely that’s not possible. Funny thing is when John Rudge was director of football, he managed help us get the player’s for promotion and keep us up. Yet Somme we’re glad see him retire and out the club. Instead of getting someone to do that same job with the football knowledge, we hire Ricky and his gang. Absolute madness what we’ve done under John Coates.

Not getting a dominant CB and LB, and SS’s inexperience will take us down I fear.
Can’t see us beating Blackburn or QPR

We absolutely are on course for the drop and it’s been an obvious trajectory for months. I’d be removing Martin tomorrow and sadly we. have to consider management too only question is will they improve in a less toxic environment or are they helping create it , I fear it’s going to need removing all of them and a proper Red Adair appointment with full control if we are to survive .

We have a poor unbalanced squad, lacking quality and competition for places, particularly in defence and a very inexperienced manager who has gone way to gung-ho the last 2 weeks, given the players he has.
Listen to the Burger interview after the game today: he said we got it wrong tactically and were way too open.
Worrying times for me, all of JCs appointments/decisions go either wrong or spectacularly wrong, let us hope it is not the later with his latest punt.
We have Million to come in, so hope he can bring something. Defensively we have to bring Junior in on the right, trust 2 of the 3 central defenders we have to chose from and hope they come good and god knows who we play on the left of defence. What we need to do is bring some midfielders in who can protect that back four and have strikers on the pitch that are also willing to defend and run themselves into the ground. Have to be solid defensively in these next 2 games and build from there - would take two 0-0 draws as it stands at the moment and signs we have a manger that knows the strengths and weaknesses of his squad and more importantly players that look like they want to fight for him and trust him.

Post OptionsPost by spoton on Jan 21, 2024 at 1:56pm These next 2 could decide if we are in a real relegation battle or mid table safety, personally think we will be very lucky to get a point, QPR and Coventry games will be must win games but unfortunately our home form may again keep us in the bottom 5 That's what i posted on the 21st and still think the same

We’ve got a shit defence and don’t score goals, which is never a great combination.
Unless we turn things around quickly I can’t see anything other than relegation. I certainly wouldn’t want to be in the trenches at the back end of the season relying on the likes of Laurent and Campbell to put a shift in to grind out results.

Can anyone name any player in our team that will score the goals to keep us up? Our defence is shocking too. Unfortunately we are down

12/1 with William Hill for relegation. Take it and some of you can enjoy the rest of the season 🙄
And you get to show evidence that “you told us it would happen”

4 teams below us still, considering how bad we’ve been. There are also a few above us in Blackburn and Swansea who are sharing this current abysmal form. I think it’ll go down to the last month but our fixtures then bar saints away are favourable.

We won’t go down. Simple as that, but what we do need is some kind of momentum and belief that we are going to achieve something next season for the fans. We’ve been shit for far too long, we can’t keep getting it wrong!

We’ve been shit for far too long, we can’t keep getting it wrong! I don’t think it is ‘simple as that’ to be honest mate. We are absolutely abysmal. We can’t score, can’t defend and 90% of playing staff dont seem to want to be here. Add to that Ricky Martin seems to be doing everything he possibly can to upset the entire mood of the club, it’s far from simple! What do we expect though when we appoint West Ham under 8s receptionist to run the football side of a 160 year old professional football club.

We’ve been shit for far too long, we can’t keep getting it wrong! Mental. Absolutely batshit. The culture of mediocrity that stinks the club out, and the unfounded arrogance that comes with it, seems to have pervaded some of the supporter base. The fact there are still people thinking 'we're too good to go down' is staggering. Incredible, really.

I think the current odds of 12/1 that Denise is offering are obscene.
The manager needs to back himself here and stop panicking (or whatever it is that caused him to put Nathan Lowe on the wing). Many of the problems he has aren’t of his doing, some can’t be fixed anytime soon, but quite a few of his problems are of his own doing. Stop them and we might stand a chance.

Well I've taken 12/1. Just saying! It's buying money! I won a few bob on the nags earlier, still annoyed when I got back from the game said winnings went on at 12/1. Hopefully its money down the drain, worst case scenario its a free League One season ticket! What a shower of shit that was.

6 of our 32 points off Rotherham, we still have QPR and Wednesday away . Huddersfield at home. If we don’t get points out of these games it looks grim. Not many other games you can confidently think we could win. Not knicker wetting but it does look very concerning.
