Possible XI Ireland Holland Ireland England Ireland England Jamaica Holland Serbia Brazil Portugal Subs: (inc) Scotland Morocco Algeria Korea Portugal Bit of a swing from 12 months ago. I don’t think our ‘UK’ focused recruitment was down to MON, but I do think he had a big part to play.

I'm loving the new continental cultured dong we're thumping about the transfer market with but if we go too far in the cosmopolitan direction are we at risk of losing our Seoul?

Would love this. Johnson has been a grafter but he isn’t creative. We need better there. Johnson has been a revelation

I'd rather not sign a player who doesn't really want to come here. Do you know that for a certainty?

I like how Korea has got a paper just focusing on the exploits of The Dong. www.donga.com/news/Sports/article/all/20230822/120812867/1Bae Jun-ho is expected to advance to the English stage Bae Jun-ho, who has shown rapid growth, has been consistently playing as a starting player in the K-League 1 this season, scoring 2 goals in 16 matches. It was the U-20 World Cup held in Argentina in May and June that made Bae Jun-ho’s name imprinted. In particular, in the quarter-final match against Italy (1-2 loss), he showed off his splendid individual skills and received praise from the coach of the opposing team. At the end of last month, he was selected for the 'Team K-League' and played a friendly against Atlético Madrid, the prestigious Spanish Primera Liga, and received praise from world-renowned coach Diego Simeone. After the World Cup, multiple European clubs showed interest, and Stoke City is known to be sending the most active love call recently. Stoke City, who belong to the English Second Division Championship, finished 16th last season. In the 2023-2024 season, it is ranked 8th with 2 wins and 1 loss until the 3rd round.

I don't think that we should be considering "Love Calls" on the Oatcake MB, this early in the day!

Worth noting if he stays with us for a while he will get called up for Army duty Not necessarily - many Korean sports people have received permission to skip army duty in recent years. If this guy fulfils his potential, he'll be allowed to do the same (if he wins an international tournament with Korea)

When I was a lad playing park kick about football, there would be several lads with a "reputation for being able to take the ball and keep it under pressure," by the simple expedient of taking their ball home if things weren't going their way!

Foootball Insider have him as Joon-Ho Bae? Chinese/Korean names are often written with surnames first and then first name OR the other way round (as with English). Yes I remember going in to teach a class with a HoChun Wing on the register. I called him HoChun to be told by the other kids that he was Wing. I asked him if that was right. His reply made me chuckle: "Yes HoChun is my Korean name". I almost responded "And Wing is your English name?"

The South Korean National team is always very technically sound. Sounds like this lad is too. Hopefully, he can hold up to the physical side of the game.
