I know a lot of Stoke fans don't like arrogance (all the Arnie debates) but I wish our South Korean king showed a bit more of it because I think he's too humble if anything. He absolutely needs to be more greedy. I love the work ethic and humbleness epitomised by Son and Bae though.

He's got a very long way to go before he can be likened to Alan Hudson. He never will be but that’s an extraordinary high bar best Stoke player I’ve ever seen Me too, but in a different 'team role', Gordon Banks was as good as you could hope to see.

I think the last couple of games have settled the debate about if he should play wide or through the middle. and it’s wide , his favoured position Which begs the question, if we start with a front three of Bae, Cannon and Million, where does that leave Koumas?

Obviously talented but needs to learn when to release the ball

You can't drop him, the only way he'll learn is to keep playing and it's obvious he has the talent so you stick with it.
As much as Koumas has made an impact, do you give the opportunity to a loanee or one of your own?

We could line up like this to get them both on the pitch? I guess both Lawal and Gallagher will need some time to get up to speed again too? .................Victor............... Junior....Phillips....Gibson.....Bocat .................Burger.............. .......Moran...............Bae...... Manhoef..........Cannon.........Koumas

You go with whoever is gonna create goals,chances.....that's koumas and manhoef atm. unless we go with koumas central with junho/manhoef as yer wide players.

As you can see I prefer Phillips tp Wilmot because of his height and pace. Especially alongside Gibson I think that is important, Wilmot looks very uncomfortable when played on the left as well so I prefer Gibson there.

We are lacking in height and physicality but everything else seems to be in place for a good team.

We have Pearson to come back into the team too and I’m sure we haven’t seen anything in a Stoke shirt close to what he is capable of - but I’m hoping he will come good, not that he will add any height or brute strength to the team, but he can be useful at DM.

Wilmot has it all to prove this season, he hasn’t been convincing so far in his Stoke career. I’d have Rose ahead of him based on last seasons form. Gibson and Phillips seems like it should be the best pairing.

It's very much a squad game nowadays. Whoever is fit and in form should play. If all are fit, Bae can play further back. It's useful that we now have several versatile players that can cover multiple positions. Koumas, Lawal, Moran, Bae, Gooch, Seko have all played various positions and can be employed when and where they are needed. Remember we have a lot of young players now and they won't play every game.

As much as Koumas has made an impact, do you give the opportunity to a loanee or one of your own? Give it to whoever deserves it at the time of picking the starting 11. It’s healthy to have quality players in competition for positions. It’s not just a team game it’s also utilising your squad to play against different teams. There’s absolutely no point bringing in quality loan players and not playing them because they’re not ours.

Given 5 subs I think it hasn't sunk in yet that starting the game isn't as important as it used to be especially in The Championship with the high frequency of games
Clearly we are going to have some very good players on the bench,we will need them most games ,they will get on and play The next game good chance some of those players will swap re who started and who comes on I think it's much less of an issue for the players than for supporters 'best starting 11' doesn't really exist as each game is different
Where we may have an issue,re keeping players happy,is if in the scenario where everyone/most players are available (& that's not that common a scenario) we will have some good players not even making the bench , would look for more outs than ins in January

Obviously talented but needs to learn when to release the ball I agree! His decision making needs to improve, At times he holds on too long or releases too soon. Should improve in time, should not be first choice over koumas. Can’t say about cannon, till we see him play in our system. All very young. Time will tell. Exciting prospects for this season, so many good and able youngsters we have all over the pitch!
