Looked like he’d be best as a wide forward, winning aerial duels. He didn’t win that many though, his crossing isn’t great and he’s not that good at defending either, despite playing a decent chunk of his career at the back.

The effort was a waste of time. Lol that's exactly my point - you seem to think he would have deserved the exact same treatment if he had been just as untalented as he was but had been completely unprofessional and put no effort in whatsoever. That rankles with people - if we can't encourage effort and discourage lack of effort, we have no influence over anything as fans, because we can't make players better. It shouldn’t. His effort was pointless as he was talentless. It meant nothing. I don’t get why people don’t just go and watch a marathon if you want to watch triers and runners. |

Neither Léris or Gooch are really good enough but Gooch is better at everything bar heading.
Gooch covers more positions too.
Gooch is just about good enough to keep. Leris isnt.

I liked him to be fair.
Gave it his all.
Had some good games, had some stinkers. Didn't really tend to do average.
Either looked decent or the time at Norwich I think where he couldn't trap cement.

Down as 3.5M when in reality it's about 1.9M. Transfermarkt is a great site for lots of stuff but I'd take their valuations and transfer figures with a pinch of salt. |
