It wasn’t an off day. It’s how we’ve played for most of the season! And he was. He looked like a competition winner. Johnson is awful. Stop defending this useless players. Yesterday was a fucking awful game that was consistent with most of the season (even the Sunderland game). But like I keep saying you don’t need to be good in this league. I'm defending players because they're not useless, certain 'supporters' are though, very low calibre Johnson consistently struggles to make simple passes. It’s his main job, or should be. We struggled to break down a team, if you can’t criticise your attacking midfielder then when can you? |

Neither him or Brown are good enough with their feet. Both graft. Brown was a better finisher. Leris is much better in the air and defends better. Neither should be regular starters at this level. Neither him or Brown are good enough with their feet. Both graft. Brown was a better finisher. Leris is much better in the air and defends better. Neither should be regular starters at this level. But we had 1 shot on target and 1 corner and that says it all. Your attackers are there to be shot at when they played like they did yesterday. |

Champo players will have fluctuations in personal form I guess or they wouldn't be here |

They sat deep and the likes of Burger/Leris and Johnson had little if anything to find passing wise in the opposition box.
They had a game plan as we didn’t, poor game but as said on multiple times it’s s game we usually lose when playing like this.

Good team (in some opinions), well organised or not. It doesn't justify the seriously poor standard of passing yesterday. We gave it away constantly and our forward ball was little short of woeful at times for any level.
We were playing Cardiff , we made hard work of simple enough 10 yard forward balls in the last third, thankfully they were little better than us there at times because a better side would have taken advantage. Let's not build Cardiff up as something they simply aren't.

Passing was really off, decision making poor
However, again, there was nothing fortunate about the point as Cardiff had almost no chances courtesy of a very good defensive display by Stoke
Had we won the game that would have been fortunate

Like the other poster said, it was a good point against a team that’s right up there. We haven't got elite champions league players, we’ve got good championship players that won’t control every single ball of the season with a sublime touch and drift past his marker! They cost tens of millions these days. Leris's instant control is usually excellent. He wasn't helped today either by the long ball to him. He put in so much effort to try to get on the end of them without winning a single one. He is good in the air but not a target man. |
