Upgrade on Brown.
Similar in some ways to Walters.
Very important player for us.

He really struggles with his feet doesn’t he. Awful footballer. Just an off day for me, like many in the side today. He's been good for the last few games

Was poor today.
Got given the ball in some great positions, but messed it up each time.

Had an absolute mare today! That said he kept going and it just wasn’t his day, like most of the midfield and forwards tbh

I thought the more it went wrong for him today, the harder he tried to push it, and in turn the worse it got for him. They really didnt give him much time on the ball though and I think that was part of their game plan.

Him and Burger had absolute stinkers today, both stayed on the pitch way too long.

He’s been very good for us. Pleasantly surprising for someone I thought was brought in as a RB.
Again the same old idiots who live on here are waiting for him to have a bad game to call him an awful footballer. 🤦♂️

He started off well for me. A couple of times he grabbed the ball or held onto it when he really had no right to.
Then it all went to shit, did half the team pick rotten fish for tea last night or something?

Never say never numpty. It depends on the players you have got and if a change of system brings a change of momentum. Hoever and a similar left wing back would unlock tremendous potential. I'm a massive Hoever fan and believe he could be the difference in us being successful or not. And that needs an outlet as wing back. Cheers. Hoever can’t play RWB, much like TAA can’t. Don't agree.

Nothing was coming off for him today, but I’ll give the lad credit for just keeping going. He was having a mare but continued to try and make things happen. I’ve seen plenty of players that would have gone into hiding after half an hour and wouldn’t have wanted the ball. I like him - he’s got some grit and he’ll be a key player this season.

I think a few of the players felt the cold and wet day at the stadium, I just hope they get used to it, leris and vidigal were way off today

Looks a real asset in some games, then a competition winner in others.
A lot of people are saying he's an upgrade on Brown, but he absolutely isn't. I'd have Brown back in a heartbeat.

Neither him or Brown are good enough with their feet.
Both graft.
Brown was a better finisher. Leris is much better in the air and defends better.
Neither should be regular starters at this level.

If you had your way Stoke would be a team full of technically good players with no backbone. To say Leris is bad with his feet is laughable but the vultures need something to feed on or they'll starve

Did you see him yesterday and before? He struggles to control it every time. So much broke down when it came to him because of his woeful touch. Easily the worst player on the pitch yesterday and that was even with Daniel “iron boots” Johnson trying his best to break the hoardings with his passes at 200mph.

He really struggles with his feet doesn’t he. Awful footballer. You really do come out with some absolute garbage. Have you actually watched him? He never got it under control yesterday and it’s been a consistent thing with him. Great in the air and works hard but he can’t use his feet to do basics. But he runs a lot so he’ll get defended constantly for being a shit footballer.

He’s terrible with his feet and has been most times he’s played. His first touch is absolutely shocking. He really struggles to use his feet. It’s why I struggle with the upgrade on Brown thing. Brown at least occasionally looked like he knew what a football was. Now I have a lot of time for Leris as a wide targetman winning headers. He’s good at that normally. But yesterday wasn’t the game for that as they were massive and dominated him. Brown was shit at that, so he beats him there.

He wasn't the worst player on the pitch far from it, the whole team had an off day. Maybe we should sign Verlinden. Another, 'iron boots Johnson', you can't help yourself can you. Johnson gets in the team because he's always available, pops up everywhere and knits it together. You fail to notice the good stuff they do instead preferring to highlight the bad touches. This is a lesser team without Johnson in it, criminally underated. The vultures have been starving this last week, they need to feast. You've been moaning for that long you don't know what else to do to see the day through. Im not sure ready for a good team
