I’d be shocked. He loves Stoke so much that he signed a new contract for Wolves. www.wolves.co.uk/news/loan-watch/20230721-new-contract-and-loan-for-hoever/#:~:text=Ki%2DJana%20Hoever%20has%20signed,a%20recall%20option%20for%20January. He’s just a player that we have on loan to develop for another club. Their chairman said as much. He’s fine as a player but I’d rather be playing Junior, a player who doesn’t look that far off and one that we will benefit from in the long term. I also think that Junior and Leris will be a very powerful and aggressive combination that will scare the hell out of teams once they get going. I can’t see him ever getting close to the Wolves first team. But that being said, they paid close to 10million for him didn’t they? No chance will we be able go anywhere near what they would want for him so I’d imagine he’ll end up signing for someone else on a permanent. The £10 million fee has always been a bit obscure though as it was done simultaneously to Diego Jota going the other way from Wolves to Liverpool. Effectively the deal was Liverpool bought Jota for £35 million plus Hoever although it was structured as two separate deals, probably for FFP reasons.

Yes. Think if we could get Toffelo from forest in January it would solve a lot of our problems. Then go for a real push with slight tweak on formation. New GK Hoever McNally Souttar Rose Toffelo Pearson Burger Leris Mmaee Vidigal With a bench of Thompson, Bonham, Junior, Bae, DJ, Wes, Gayle etc Nice. I think if he returned to a back 5 now I would stop following football and take an active interest in stamp collecting or train sets or something. Never say never numpty. It depends on the players you have got and if a change of system brings a change of momentum. Hoever and a similar left wing back would unlock tremendous potential. I'm a massive Hoever fan and believe he could be the difference in us being successful or not. And that needs an outlet as wing back. Cheers.

Just gutted that we'll lose him and Mmaee in January for up to a month A good chance for Hask and others to stake their claim

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I have absolutely no idea how anybody could watch Stoke over the last two years and think that what we need to do to push on to another level is to play a wing-back system.

Seems a nice guy.
When asked who was the most important player in the squad to bring everyone together, he said....
.....Frank Fielding!

When Fielding's, contract was extended he said that he was a really good influence in the changing room and that was part of the reason he wanted to keep him.

I get your point mate but I wouldn't mind seeing TAA trying to play wing back for us mate 🤣 It seems obvious because they are attacking full backs but I think they get lost there. They are players who benefit from seeing most of the game happening in front of them.

Agree As with TAA when Hoever gets those wide areas from right back he gets some great deliveries in As with TAA I'd like to see him play in midfield As for Leris, his job is to balance out Hoevers weaknesses which he does well As with Brown before him he adds that 90 minutes of graft 3 goals so far for him, if he can chipping in with goals then he stays in the side

Hoever and Leris are forming a very impressive partnership down the right. They compliment each other nicely. Hoever likes to gallop forward and Leris has the workrate to get back and cover.
Leris is also very strong in the air surprisingly, and I can see him getting double figures for goals if he stays fit which his career record didn’t suggest he was capable of doing when he arrived.

Leris is our best player at the moment. He's a top player I think that is the most impressive thing about our Summer signings - they have all showed glimpses of potential. Vidigal was quickest off the blocks for 3-4 games and has now settled down. Leris was impressive in his cameo at Millwall then had a stinker and was slightly off the pace for a couple of games then has looked good for the last 3-4. The snippets we have seen from Bae and Tchamadeu suggest they will play an ever increasing part in our progress. Both look comfortable at this level. Burger is another who I feel has a lot more to offer. He has been ok for me but not quite the star that others see in him at the moment. Same for Mmaee. Started off slow but has shown signs of improvement. I will not mention the loanees other than to say they provide still more options. We are not going to win every week but I think we could be top six by Xmas if we continue our steady improvement of late.

He comes across very well. Seems a lovely guy. Agree. I also thought what he said about AN was interesting. I know it is part of a manager's job to make sure the new players settle in as quickly as possible but it seems that AN takes this seriously and wants to help off the pitch as much as he can.

Too many wrote him off too soon. Good player. It's strange how it's worked out, most including myself were focusing on other exciting signings and when he come in it was like a squad filler type signing looking at his goal record but he's been one of the most consistent performers
