Given Hoever appears to struggle late on like to see Junior off the bench Yet Hoever won us the game late on against Leeds with that saving tackle. I'm not a big one for messing about with the defence if it's working. He also helped win us the game with that brilliant corner against Leeds. He’s had a few mistakes in his game recently but if he cuts them out he’s a massive part of our team. On the subject of Leris, I thought his technical ability really stood out against Leeds. His touch and movement showed why he’s been playing in one of europes biggest leagues before he arrived here.

I had him down as straight replacement for Brown, workrate, honest trier etc but he's showing decent technique and hopefully he'll continue to improve and go on to be a genuine upgrade on JB.

Given Hoever appears to struggle late on like to see Junior off the bench The only way Junior will develop is if we play him. I’d rather us develop our own than the Wolves reserve we’ll never sign. Really enjoyed watching Leris yesterday. He’s a good, all-round player. I honestly feel that Hoever loves being at Stoke over Wolves and I wouldn't be surprised to see him here for good. As for Leris at the moment he is my favourite player. I loved the way he encouraged the crowd to get behind them soon after Leed's penalty miss.

He’s just a player that we have on loan to develop for another club. Their chairman said as much. He’s fine as a player but I’d rather be playing Junior, a player who doesn’t look that far off and one that we will benefit from in the long term. I also think that Junior and Leris will be a very powerful and aggressive combination that will scare the hell out of teams once they get going.

As I say, just a feeling I have based mainly on him talking about being grateful to Neil for trusting him to play regularly. I think he's probably spent more time at Stoke than Wolves. Perhaps he was told the only way he was allowed back was to us was to sign it as Wolves also could foresee him wanting a permanent move to us.

I also suspect that Hoever is on ( sort of) premier League wages , medium to bottom end premier League wages but still premier league wages . So with FFP , Hoever signing for wolves and being loaned to stoke probably suited Stoke too .

Wasn’t the Adobe deal done a bit like that, wasn’t he on loan at another club with an option to buy for a lower price than we paid ?

What a super signing this lad is proving to be. Great workrate, good in the air, decent technically and a good finisher. Him and Hoever are forming a terrific partnership down our right hand side and long may it continue. I know a lot are crying out for Junior to start but I would keep these two together for now. Junior's time will come. The rule seems to be if the contrarian on here doesn't rate you you come good. If he rates you, particularly if you're young, pack the game in. You're going nowhere.

I can’t see him ever getting close to the Wolves first team. But that being said, they paid close to 10million for him didn’t they? No chance will we be able go anywhere near what they would want for him so I’d imagine he’ll end up signing for someone else on a permanent.

They literally had him sign a new contract this summer. They either value his potential or realize that he will get decent money for them on regular loan spell to the Championship, after which they can sell.

New GK Hoever McNally Souttar Rose Toffelo Pearson Burger Leris Mmaee Vidigal With a bench of Thompson, Bonham, Junior, Bae, DJ, Wes, Gayle etc Nice.

Or so it seemed Right handed boxers don’t exclusively throw right handed punches even though it’s their obvious threat’ AN sends the team down the left side, pulls the opposition across, it goes back to Rose who plays a big diagonal ball to Hoever who is high and wide. And does exactly the same in reverse for the left side.

But your explanation is a reasonable one

Whether that will change with Leris’ good form though we’ll have to wait and see.
