Has to be a starter for now surely? He really should have started today and then showed why. Yes he will need managing. Yes he can’t and shouldn’t play every game. But for now he should be starting. Yeah he was excellent but why should he have started today as those who started in midfield were excellent also? I would back Bayern up here. There were some gaping holes in midfield that let Plymouth break through during the whole game. Once Sidibe came on, those holes just disappeared and Plymouth didnt really offer much, especially after we scored. Its not just what Sidibe offered on the ball, he impacted the whole game when he came on by bolstering the middle of the pitch.

The potential Sol has is unreal.
Already looks like he’s been playing for a decade.

Bar injury he should be starting 25 league games this season imo.
His form drop off and impact that but I really don’t think it will drop that much.
And it’s not too many games. I think it’s entirely realistic and allows him a good period of time for recovery too.

Schumachers man management of Sidibe is first class …..just like Guardiola in how he managed Foden
Don’t doubt it

This boy is going to the top, building him gradually will be key. His performances are way above his years, easy to forget how young he is.

An honest question, why do you immediately focus on any potential negative you can find? We won away. Clean sheet. Played plenty of young players. Played some great stuff. But you want to focus on Sol getting more game time. After the coach brings him on at a delicate stage of a finely poised match thus proving he trusts and rates him. Can’t you see why you get so much grief on here when your go to is always to highlight negatives? Often negatives that don’t actually exist.

Well Championship level anyway. Caution needs to be thrown into the wind re his talent. Yeah his game time needs managing but 25 starts isn’t too many and well within what we should be getting out of him.

We need to get Sidibe in the side as soon as possible. Plus we need to get him tied down contractually so that we don't lose our investment.

And on top of that , ball aching from one end of the country to another in a week, 2 good victories, 2 clean sheets, no serious injuries and good competition for places is nothing to be sniffed at This is a GOOD week all round for the club !

If the competition was Laurent and Baker he’d be starting most games.

Burger and Lawal (based off him being injured before even playing for us) are prone to niggles, Sol will get ample opportunities this season.

Congratulations you've just managed to make a statement so stupid, it that makes even Bayern look reasonable and balanced. sols great but why do you need to make it about slagging off wilmot? Especially when he's just captained a team , that won away form \home and kept a clean sheet?

Looks the part to me, he was superb at Boro and he calmed us down today. The weight of pass to Milli was class, and we give him an assist for the goal ❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️

He will be better than them pair fairly quick as well. I totally agree on that. I dont know how good Lawal is BUT his positioning is already more intelligent than Burger. He really changed that game for us today - yes he got the assist to Manhoef for the winner but thats not the main point. He totally made Plymouth ineffective playing through the middle.

And he can play every role in that midfield of Schumachers too. He’s not just some sitter. He can do it all. I really don’t get why people don’t think he should be a pretty regular starter this season. It’s insane.

The problem with playing him is that it won’t be long until a prem club comes sniffing around. But, agreed, the lads quality.

Dont know about this Lawal or Seko guy. So yeah I think he will be the main man soon enough. Lets agree on October when we have tried all other alternatives!!
