Looks one of the most promising players we've had in a while. Loved that cameo late season when he won a tigrish, crunching challenge and first thought was straight back on his feet for the loose ball and drive us forward. Hopefully his breakthrough season Always loved Cameo. Word Up.

Fantastic news, and apparently a great kid as well. Maybe this coming season is still just one too soon, but more than happy for him to be challenging in and around the squad, or out on a decent loan.

I think if given a chance he will do more than Laurent.
I know that’s a low bar but it’s the bar.

Almost feels like a new signing, I'm hopeful he will be pushing for a start this coming season.

Good news, maybe look at a months loan somewhere lower to see how he does, then move him up a league or two with a loan, we know he looks like he can be good enough in a few cameos, but needs that regular playing time, the U21's don't seem to give that.

Sol played in the same team as my son, for Stone Dominoes Yellows, he was head and shoulders above the other players in the squad, and he was a full year younger than the rest of them. It was quite plain to see he'd make it to pro level when he was only 11 years old. My highlight was playing lads V dads in pre season, playing upfront with Mamma made me feel like Ricardo Fuller, until I tweaked a calf.

Can only have a month's loan to non league, he's not dropping that low

He should be on the bench.
Hopefully we sign someone to replace Laurent.
And then Sol rotate with them.
With 9 subs needed there’s no reason for him not to be a regular on the bench.

Watching him up close against Brizzle on the final day compared to at the start of the season, he sure looked bigger and was obviously in the gym quite bit. Should mean he'll be better equipped to stake a claim this season.

Let him play somewhere on loan until January and then bring him back when he has played minutes. I’d be surprised if SS will trust him at present given how many other midfielders we do have.

I think at least two of Johnson, Baker, Laurent will leave and probably all 3 Expecting Cundle in With Pearson injured numbers in midfield will mean Sol is in Of course if all 3 don't leave and/or we sign more midfielders then Sol wouldn't be in We'll see Pre season games soon - testspiele - he'll definitely play in those

A loan is just pointless and a backwards step.

Ive got to be honest I dont see what the huge fuss is over Sidibe based upon what Ive seen of him (not a lot I must add).
He looks tidy and technical yes, but what is he?
Hes not a driving box-to-box midfielder that likes to get forward.
He doesnt seem a defensive midfielder.
What is his preferred position and what does he bring to the team? Just a genuine question and not having a go at the lad

A loan is just pointless and a backwards step. That’s not going to happen though is it. Also, 17 year olds are least likely to get used off the bench to make an impact. Unless he’s a stand out, elite young player he’s unlikely to get much game time this season with us.

In that brief appearance against Bristol he looked great. He's still growing and once he fills out he'll be some player. I agree that this season is too soon but the trick is does he go on loan as a League 2 loan won't be easy for a 17 year old? Staying and playing a few cup games and coming on late on may or may not be better, I really don't know.

And Mainoo was 18 when he came into the side. A great achievement but let's not force things.
