Lordy, Ben Gibson hasn't even signed yet and you want him gone...that's a record even by oatcake standards. Have no idea what I actually meant to say either! Probably because I didn't say it

It doesn’t seem like some of you have seen many under 21 games. They are fully committed affairs and are generally brutal in their use of substitutions if the effort drops. The look on Ryan’s face instantly tells you what his view is. The only times you see a more relaxed approach is when a first team player is on the pitch and I include Ryan in that when he was still playing.

Its not just the games through the intensity of forst team training is a real step up , so they can play like that every week v men the u21s intensity is relative to their own age group . Delap was a classic example he literally bullied his age group but as soon as he stepped up the physicality totally negated that part of his game at the time .

Some do train with the first team and do get worked over for their troubles. Some not perhaps all do get helped by first team players.

Seeing him in that first day back video, he looks mature and much older than he is.
I really hope he is in the starting line up from the start this season.

Great news. Hopefully he’ll push on this season and get more opportunities. I wouldn’t be suprised if we don’t buy a CM and offload at least one. I can imagine there is a lot of influence and personal and professional interest at the club making sure Sidibe makes it.

Since the end of the season there’s been rumours of Chelsea sniffing, I would have been gutted to see Sol go.
This is my signing of the summer, I noticed on the training video Sol is physically growing taller and stronger, I’m looking forward to see Sol’s progress with Stoke.
Well done Stoke 🔴⚪️

Well that’s the best bit of news we’ve seen for a long while. The lad really looks like he has the ability / physical stature etc to have an excellent career.

Hopefully Gibson and Johnson move on. If we have Burger, Laurent, BaKer, Cundle, Thompson and Sidibe we may have room for one more. Lordy, Ben Gibson hasn't even signed yet and you want him gone...that's a record even by oatcake standards. It's good to get it in early - saves waiting 10 mins into his debut.

It's just ancient thinking to say players aren't ready until they've been loaned out and clogged to toughen them up. Players are so protected nowadays that you can take a chance on some of them.

As well as a real connection to Stoke City & S-O-T, desire, commitment & pride along with coming across as a very nice young man, grounded & level headed. Much like his Dad! Fantastic news! Well done Sol.

It just has to be Mama's old song!!! When Sol came off the bench first match of last season and the whole ground sang Sol Sidibe Sol Sidibe nananananananna...................hairs on the back of the neck stuff, misty eyed- bloody hayfever...

Many years ago, when his dad had scored a late winner against, uh, somebody or other, I proposed on here: "Last night Sidibe saved my life"

This is my signing of the summer, I noticed on the training video Sol is physically growing taller and stronger. Well done Stoke 🔴⚪️ If Chelsea got him, he would spend at least two seasons on loan to clubs like ours, perhaps even us, before being sold on to the likes of Brentford. I would hope that he gets better advice than going there.

Looks one of the most promising players we've had in a while. Loved that cameo late season when he won a tigrish, crunching challenge and first thought was straight back on his feet for the loose ball and drive us forward.
Hopefully his breakthrough season
