Isn't the whole point of a moneyball/ Data driven approach that it turns up players like this? It would be a waste of everyone's time if it just said 'the answer is Jack Clarke (or similar)' to the question 'find me a championship winger' Every club is looking at the same analytical data though, aren't they? And they all think they're operating a form of moneyball. But this is what we're paying Jared for, to try and settle on the right option after wading through all the others on our budget, and consulting with Neil about what he's after, with the knowledge of how thinly we've got to spread the cash So if he, Tricky and Al think Vidigoal is the man, more than happy to back the new regime! It's refreshing at least |

So I just watched that YouTube compilation for the first time and at no moment did I think he resembled Arnie in the slightest. Reminded me of Ric if anything. That first touch and the way he suddenly trickily bursts into space. |

I like this signing. I know nothing about him, but we have to try and unearth a few gems from around the world, as the value just isn’t there when shopping in England.
He scored a quarter of all his teams goals last season when they were relegated. From the YouTube montage he looks direct and decent technically.

His last season for Maritimo was far better than the previous one in terms of goals/assists so hopefully he's a player just finding consistency and form and we will reap the benefits. Especially considering it was done in a struggling side.
Out of the box signings are always so much better........

I wonder if he's one we have turned to after missing out on first choices like Redmond or Bidace? Or was he (or similar) always part of the plan as a squad option.
Be interesting to see where he fits in and if we are still in for another winger or not.

If you'd like to say “thank you” in Portuguese you would say “obrigado” if you identify as a man, or “obrigada” if you identify as a woman. The literal translation is actually “I am obliged,” which is why the gender of the word reflects the speaker rather than the person you're addressing. Bom dia.  OS. |

Judging from the video, he looks a class player and is tricky and fast and direct. But the real question is, can he do it on a cold, wet night in Stoke? A good signing for £500,000 and worth taking a punt on.
