Two poor games and he'll get the critical crucifixion that Sobhi got. Sobhi’s subsequent career showed the criticism was fair comment

Watch out Hanley...
He doesn't pass in a 1v1, and he likes to party after defeats and before important games. If he changes his bad behavior he can be a good player.

Premier league aside have we had much foreign winger success?
Bjarni and Hoekstra spring to mind.
Hopefully he doesn't end up another Demar Phillips.

We don’t want any of that nonsense. Can he track back, keep the team shape, operate the press, mark his opponent and run, run and run. No mention of any of the proper parts of the game.

Judging from the video, he looks a class player and is tricky and fast and direct. But the real question is, can he do it on a cold, wet night in Stoke? A good signing for £500,000 and worth taking a punt on. OS. The poor bastard won't know what's hit him once we get to November.

Not sure who the tweeter is but that sounds promising! He scored 5 goals between the start of April to first week of May, though three of those goals were as a forward and another as a CAM. The other goal came from the RW. Looks like he can play a variety of positions across the midfield, as a forward and even as a WB, so he's nothing if not versatile. I like to think we'll be bringing him in primarily for the LW. He's good on the press as well as being tricky on the ball, and even though he hasn't been prolific from the wings that may be because he played in so many different positions last season. Time will tell if he can do the business, but for nearly £500k with up to a 3-year deal, no-one can argue this isn't terrific value.

Didn't make one tackle the entire game, but carried and passed the ball so well and made runs into the final third. A very good option should we decide to give DJ a breather, or push him back alongside Pearson and give Vidigal a free 10 role.

I know it seems like a different country, but does being born in Burslem really qualify someone as a foreign winger.
