As I see it the player wants the move, the club need the money but are asking a little more than they'll accept. Stoke are playing the long game on this one and will probably get him for 800k as the player will not want to stay now that his head has been turned. If I was a League Two club with a talent like that on my books, I’d want as much as possible too! The lad could be a Premier League player in three years time. |

A 6-12 month stop gap that we have zero chance of ever getting on a permanent deal. We need to build for the future while using loans to be effective now. I’m not saying Tchamadeu is that future but a loan should be accompanied by the signing of a future prospect, not in place of it. Why zero chance? Pl clubs don't appear to be interested in him He signed a new contract with Wolves before coming here. He missed a couple of games, which slowed his momentum with us but if he has a good season, he won’t be loaned back. They have the January recall option for a reason. He might not be fit for purpose for the PL yet, but a good spell with us will change that. I can’t see us dropping £5-6 million on a right back either. Unless we go up, I don’t see it happening. |
