If the sticking point is £250k ( and I'm not saying it is ) and that extra money would lead to FFP sanction, then that doesn't say much for our 'competitive' budget. No but my point is, nobody really knows the ins and outs of what our budget actually is do they? and maybe we want more money to spend in other areas and if you can save 250k then you try to do it surely? If there are doubts about him then we shouldn't sign him for either figure though. |

A saving of £250k would be extremely important to me, personally, but I would say less so to a well financed Championship club like us, although, yes I agree with the general point you're making. We need to start applying a more canny attitude to business and maybe that's 2hat is happening. |

If you pay a third more than you believe a player is worth in every deal that affects your budget significantly. There has to be discipline in deals and I am pleased we finally seem willing to adopt a tougher approach |

We jizzed multi millions up the wall over the last 8 years and now we're trying to scrimp on loose change. So we should just go over spending on everyone should we, where have I seen that before 🤔 |

We're still desperate for a right-back, and I'd rather it be a young up and coming lad with bags of potential than another old duffer (in football terms) at full-back!!!

We're still desperate for a right-back, and I'd rather it be a young up and coming lad with bags of potential than another old duffer (in football terms) at full-back!!! Can you imagine going into the new season with Stevens at left-back and A. N. OTHER DUFFER at right-back!!! I guess Hoever will now be first choice , could do with another option though and Edwards looked way below any required standard yesterday |

Regardless of Hoever Id still be seriously considering him. Hoever is only on loan for the year so we need to look longer term. Obviously hed come in initially as back up but theres a clear pathway for him.
As someone has said, hes the sort of player Peterboro sign then sell for a huge profit a couple of years later

Edwards looks as bad now as he did before he left the first time, Macari needs another loan in professional football before determining his level. We do definitely need more wide options at the back. |

We need to build for the future while using loans to be effective now. I’m not saying Tchamadeu is that future but a loan should be accompanied by the signing of a future prospect, not in place of it. |
