🤣🤣🤣could you fucking imagine the reaction on here. It would be like he’d murdered their families. lol, and would we want a player who downs tools when things don't go his way. Wouldn’t bother me.

To be fair it worked out for us with Peter odemwingie. Have I missed something with Odemwingie? 1 in 5 for stoke, pretty average.

Also had the benefit of everyone being disappointed by the transfer and him largely exceeding expectations. His injury was heavily felt by the squad, which could be seen by a drop in performances.

Wingie was tremendous.
Great finisher. Quick. And just seemed a top bloke to go with the shit that matters above.

Quite so. Viewed from the Colchester perspective it makes sense to give game time to a player who may yet be with them for the season. It might also be a way of demonstrating to Stoke and other interested parties that they are happy to keep him unless their financial demands are met. Spot on. Good on them too. Exactly. There is absolutely no point in a club not playing their player just because he is ambitious and wants to go somewhere bigger. Good on him too. Despite handing in a transfer request he not only played yesterday and sounds as if he was star man. That says a lot about his character.

That says a lot about his character. It does and fair play to Col U for playing hardball However they still took a risk playing him in a friendly, injury yesterday and that could have been £1m+ up the swanee for them He should be a good addition to the squad

Hope so, he’s one for the future, or indeed now and he will be ours rather than a loan which may not become permanent. It would be a great signing and cover for both flanks.

Please don’t quibble over £500k. I remember Everton purchasing John Stones from Barnsley for £3m. He was sold to Man City for £48m three years later. Get him signed!

I’ve given up on this one now. Don't panic mate the medical is still ongoing. He's part way through swimming the channel and then the final stage is another 90 minutes for Colchester.

Why should we be willing to pay an inflated price nobody else will? Stay calm and bring in someone else who can play at both fullbacks.
