So like the first team, it's been a season of upheaval for the academy. Dave Hibbert takes over the u18s coach and Alex Morris as the u21s coach. Good luck to them both! With Shawcross joining the u18 set up, which is great to see. U18 Squad GK - Ben HoustonGK - Michael Zeitzen GK - Ruben Brammer DF - Josh Bickerton DF - Christy Grogan DF - Jake Griffin DF - Jaden MearsDF - Freddie Anderson DF - Ian Togo DF - Jaden Dixon DF - Sydney Agina DF/WG - Kobie Hines-Leacock MF - Zane Rattray MF - Will SmithMF - Gabriel Kelly MF - Lewis Walker MF - Sol Sidibe WG - Ali Ali WG - Oliver Challinor WG - Harry CraneWG - Joshua Maskall FW - Emre Tezgel FW - Nathan Lowe FW - Dean Adekoya FW - Adam WatsonFW - Jackson Kelly FW - Luke Enright First Year Second YearI'm just going off the list from last year for the 2nd years, I'm not sure if any of them have been released, so if anyone knows please shout up Freddie AndersonFreddie is a centre back who joined from Manchester City at the end of last season. He is tall, aggressive and excellent in possession. Freddie is the son of former England international Viv Anderson, and we fought off several clubs to secure his signature. Gabriel KellyGabriel is a centre midfielder who joined from Manchester City as an Under-16. He has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at youth international level. Gabriel moves well across the pitch, is good in possession and effective in both boxes. He was introduced to Under-18s football at the end of last season, making his debut against Blackburn Rovers in March. Ian TogoIan joined as an U10 after playing grassroots football in Manchester. A tall centre back, he is comfortable in possession and a positive character around the dressing room. Jackson Kelly Jackson has been with us since the age of 11 and was signed from grassroots football in Ellesmere Port. He is a mobile and strong forward who can play anywhere across the front three and he carries excellent finishing qualities in front of goal. Jaden DixonJaden is a right-sided defender, who can also play centrally. He joined us last season from Tottenham Hotspur, having also represented England at youth international level. He is an athletic defender who likes to tackle but is also comfortable in possession. Joshua MaskallJosh is a hard-working, quick and direct winger who possesses a decent end product. He has been with the Club since Under-11s. Kobie Hines-LeacockKobie has been recruited this summer after being spotted playing as a winger for Millwall. We see him as an option at left back in the long-term too. Kobie is energetic, carries a good end product and is effective in one-v-one situations. Lewis WalkerLewis joined us midway through last season from Leicester City. A central midfielder, he played for the U18s towards the end of last season. Lewis likes to make himself available to receive and play the ball. Luke EnrightLuke joined us from Aston Villa last year. He is a mobile and aggressive striker who scores goals. Again, we fought off several clubs to secure his signature. Michael ZeitzenMichael joined us at the end of last season from Arsenal. He possesses a great profile for a goalkeeper and is an excellent shot-stopper. Ruben BrammerRuben has been with us since the age of eight. He is a reliable shot-stopper who is good in all aspects of the game. Sydney Agina Like Ruben, Sydney has been with us since the Under-9s. He is a powerful defender who is good in the air, likes to defend and is comfortable in possession. Quiet and unassuming, but a character within the dressing room. Souleymane SidibeSol joined as an Under-9 too. He played for the U18s throughout last season and possesses everything you want in a modern-day midfielder. As is widely known, Sol is the son of former Potter Mamady Sidibe. From what I can tell the only 2nd years from last year that have moved up the 21s are Simkin, Curl and Griffiths U21 SquadGK - Blondy Nna Noukeu GK - Tommy Simkin RWB/DM - Tom Sparrow FB - Tom Curl CB - David Okagbue CB - Lewis Macari CB - Matthew Baker CB - Luke Badley-Morgan CM - Sonny Singh CM - Jack Griffiths CM - Ben Kershaw WG - Kahrel Reddin WG - Edwin Andersson ST - Dara McGuinness I think that's all of the U21 players we have. Obviously players from the 18s will be jumping up the u21s to play and I expect a few of the above to be sent on loan too. oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/304774/stoke-city-development-academy-thread

Shit I can remember when these were our main sponsor. How things have changed. I hadn't got a clue what a Broxap was before. Mind you at least it taught me what 'street furniture' was. I thought it meant benches.
