I cant stand him. Not the worst footballer ever but clearly never gave a shit about playing for Stoke or any other club.
Hes done well for himself so fair play. Glad hes not involved with Stoke City any longer is all I can say

He had 1 semi decent season with us....he was here 5 years(injured for nearly 2)...pinched a living whilst employed by Stoke. Struggling to get fixed up with a club....says it all.

Did he not find a club by transfer deadline?? Doesn't look like it Why am I not surprised? I never liked him, but then I sat behind him when we played Burnley at home last season. He was genuinely not interested and even laughed a couple of times when we made mistakes like a bad pass etc. Can’t believe that arsehole made such a good living out of the game, he had such poor ability and a horrendous attitude. The only consoling thing is he is a ranga 😂😂😂😂

Is laughing at a mistake such a crime?
I do it all the time and if you’re someone who is a pro footballer the mistakes must be even funnier.

You're comparing apples and oranges. Of course fans are "sensitive". Following your team involves passion, excitement, disappointment, happiness, frustration and everything in between. We're talking about a professional footballer here, not a fan.

Did he not find a club by transfer deadline?? Doesn't have to does he. We don't know anything about his fitness or current situation and he is a free agent. I don't get the hatred for this bloke still. He's not a Stoke player and did more for the club than the likes of Tonge and Soare amongst others did under Pulis. Living in the present makes you a nicer, happier person. Not a dig at you just can't understand the interest and persistent regurgitated hatred for him.

No hatred from me - I liked him as a person and he had good spells as a player for stoke amongst injuries. I am surprised he’s not with a new club, I’ve been talking to some mates of mine who support Crewe and Stockport about him. He should be firmly on the radar of clubs like that - if not better a standard.

If ever I was watching and someone in my team made a mistake it pissed me off, i definitely didn't laugh. And if it was a laughable or comical mistake it pissed me off even more, the thought of the oppostion laughing at us! And that's just at village level

If you're 5 nil up and your mate misses a sitter then he's getting rinsed. That's standard. In general, if things are going well then taking the piss is what you'd expect. The fact is, we've had a very shit 5 or 6 years. Relegation, followed by years of significant underperformance from an expensively assembled squad. Lots of unrest, disappointment and anger from the fans as a result. If you're a professional footballer, sat in the stands laughing at your team mates fucking up in that situation then I would argue its a fairly negative reflection on your personality. And that's not being over sensitive.

Maybe Welsh village football is hyper competitive lol

It's not a crime. But it's extreme unprofessional and says a lot about him as a player. Does it? I think it just shows football fans are a bit overly sensitive tbh. He was sitting next to Jagielka who actually behaved properly and was interested in how the game was going. In between laughing and taking the piss he was on his phone. To me, if you are a professional you don’t behave in that manner when you are being paid to be there and acting in an official capacity (wearing club clothing etc). Even worse, he was sitting among the fans as he hadn’t been picked in the match day squad - so either he’s an idiot or just didn’t care. In Clucas case, probably both

The OP didn't even name the players he was laughing at, so that's a strange statement to make!!!!! A few, particularly Tymon. He actually rolled his eyes when Tymon misplaced a pass - and seemed to be wanted Jagielka and Flint who were next to him to join in the piss take. Jagielka ignored him, but Flint, who was another player I dislike joined in. I’ve not seen grown adults who are supposed to be at work behave like that pair, spent the majority of the time they were watching on their phones. Idiots the pair of them and glad we are no longer paying their over inflated wages

Summed up our previous era, hiring over-priced journeymen with about as much hunger as Beard Meats Food after his 5th day of challenges. Time to take up plumbing, plenty of those needed.

He had an offer to go Bristol Rovers and met with Joey Barton about a month ago at a localish golf club. Contract was sent the best so he’s holding out, still see him on our dog walks as he’s still in the area. Nice polite lad.
