I don't hate any of them really although Sunderland can be unbearable on occasion. I think strategically Boro just because they are likely to challenge again next season whereas the others may not. I am under the delusion we will be 'up there'

Is that the same Coventry City who not so long ago had to play their home games at Northampton Town? What that says about our own journey is significant. Well done to them by the way.

Why torture ourselves? Sunderland are going up just to rub salt into the wound now we've got their ex-manager.

I want Sunderland to go up…no specific reason… Matthias Jaissle will be a bit of a coup when you think he’s getting his team into the champions league (though I’m not sure how strong the Austrian league is), and Francesco Farioli could be decent - I think he was part of the current Brighton manager’s staff in his last club. Struber is shit. Don’t want him. Regardless who it is, it’s harsh on Mowbray to let him go after the job he’s done this season - but we seem to be an ambitious and forward thinking club nowadays, so I suppose it makes sense given Tony is just considered a safe pair of hands overall.

On the other side of this would this have been the fate of Alex Neil had he not joined us? Yes, probably. We’d be looking someone who’s comfortable with the recruitment set up. I’m assuming Mowbray isn’t too fond of the idea either but just not as passionately as Alex Neil was.

Boro did seem to be slightly better than us in our head to heads, despite both being draws.(the 2-2 at our place was as big a steal as Rotherham’s win). We have better aggregate head to heads against the others which highlights how shit we’ve been against the dross in this awful division. Boro seem best placed to kick on even more next season, so from our own interests of keeping the standard of opposition down, it would be best if they went up.
We finished 27 points below Luton.

Rock and a hard place this.. for my bet to come in I need Boro to go up but would love to see Cov go up for the job Robins has done. Luton would be funny to see.
Anyone but Sunderland but that usually means it will be Sunderland.

The 2-2 at our place was nighttime robbery. We got played off the park that night. Would argue we deserved to win at their place though. One of our best performances of the season.

The team in the best position, 3rd, should go up. You are talking nonsense. Why would a team who has attained third place at the end of the season be allowed to move up when there's more money to be made with a playoff system? Sounds like you've naively been thinking the regular season should count for something...you know, like it does in MLB.
