Coventry
It will be Sunderland because they’re the ones I least want to go up and that’s just how it works.

I wouldn't mind if Coventry did it. Honestly couldn't give a shit though. It's going to take a few very good signings to give us half a chance next season.

I'd quite like Middlesbrough go up because Bob Mortimer is funny.

I would like for any of them to go up and become the club that relegates Arsenal on the last day of next season. By a freak goal.
Off somebody's butt.
A vicarious wish for other clubs while waiting for mine to get its sh*t together.

Coventry because at our recent game in the beer brewery pub thingy their fans were sound, and we all agreed that Wolves were wankers

Coventry for me so I don't have to go back to that shithole of a stadium and it's ridiculous one way system.
Plus Robins has done an excellent job there and deserves a crack at the PL.

Luton as the Prem deserve to have to deal with that ground with big away support trying to get in!! Coventry & Sunderland still made the play-offs after being hammered by us during our purple patch☹️

For me it comes down to which is best from an away day perspective .. so for me Luton to go up
Luton - bit of a beer desert ( though they have had a real ale stall at the back of their end on two recent visits ) Coventry - a couple of ale places nearby , but in general fair way out of town and choice limited Sunderland - some very decent real ale pubs with some very decent football minded fans provided you don’t act the fool Mboro - rough old place in the 80s , but recent years has seen a new bohemian Boro 😀 plenty of small cask places with friendly Boro fans .. one of my favourite trips ..theyre as close as you can get to our doppelgänger ..

I'd quite like Middlesbrough go up because Bob Mortimer is funny. He's a God. Absolutely superb on WILTY, and also that fishing thing with Paul Whitehouse. Not to mention his earlier oeuvre with Vic Reeves. I'd be OK with Boro going up, but only so long as they recreated a side based on the alliteratively gritty sound of its names - ie along the lines of the team of the 70s: Craggs, Spraggon, Foggon, Boam, etc.

Ooooooh no! The first time I was aware of different styles and approcahes was at Vale Park in January 1976!

A team that sounds (and looks) to the opposition like it will have to crawl off the pitch nursing cuts, bruises, etc. Plus a strip with an oblong block of contrasting colour across the chest - makes the players look wider and more angular. Ouch!

Middlesbrough because they will always be up there fighting for promotion. They have more resources too than the other 3 I guess.

Ouch! At Vale Park I was struck by how negative Jack Charlton's Midlesborough were. Then later the same year we played them at home again (Greenhoff's last game) and they were even worse. Promising attacks ended when they preferred to pass back to the keeper from the halfway line. Then was at Newcastle he had talent at his disposal.... and sold it to replace with agricultural players. Beardsley and Waddle stayed but didn't express themselves. It occured to me then that the longball solid physical play wasn't just pragmatism. It was how Charlton actually wanted the game to be played. Agree about the stripe across the chest though!

I can't care much but I'll go with Luton because they finished 5 points clear in third and deserve it on that basis.

Sunderland or Boro.
Both will highlight what a massive issue we have with Manager recruitment.
Think it might be Sunderland as they have all the momentum.

Reckon it will be a Sunderland v Middlesbrough final, with Middlesbrough winning it. Probably best for us as they are most likely to challenge again next season, and it's a fucker of an away.
Luton will hopefully fuck off being good for a bit, Coventry have a good team but not sure they'll keep Gyokeres (well, I'm certain they won't) and Sunderland have recruited really well but not sure they'll be as good next season. Could go either way.

Middlesbrough is a massively underrated away day, I spend a lot of time up there with work and the resurgence in the town is good to see, loads of really nice real ale bars popped up as you say…..
