Doncaster cannabis club owner aims to break drug's 'stigma'. Be interesting to see how this turns out, I've met the guy that runs the Teeside one, great guy, seems they get left alone there. I gather (only anecdotally to be fair) that The Chillin' Rooms in Liverpool is open again, despite the owner's continued incarceration, however all the 'servers' wear balaclava's while they're working 😄 What a ridiculous situation. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-68055040There is only one place in Stoke where you can go and smoke marijuana and have a beer that I know of anyway. And to my knowledge zero in Liverpool or Manchester. But with all things like this there is always the potential for a bust. Well you know of one more in Stoke than me 😄 There are cannabis social clubs in various parts of the country, usually members only and to get to be a member you often have to know an existing member, never seen one from Stoke listed. www.high-committee.co.uk/list-of-uk-cannabis-social-clubsObviously everyone involved runs the risk of prosecution, it amuses (and infuriates) me that if you wanted to save a village pub from closing you could probably apply for a government grant. I don't disagree with such grants, community things like that are important, however the act of basically encouraging the consumption of a far more dangerous substance than a substance for which folk can get prosecuted is just absurd. The Emperor Wears No Clothes 🤡

This must be just heartbreaking for the parents involved - www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-66784170Basically if their kid isn't one of the 5 (in the UK) lucky enough to get an NHS prescription they have to pay, if they can't afford to pay they have to watch their child gradually deteriorate in front of their very eyes. People are using their savings and selling their properties to fund their child's medicine, obviously if they're lucky enough to be in a position to do so in the first place, what happens when their money runs out? The cost of the medicine can be horrendous, one kid's parents are paying £1600 for 6 weeks worth, one of the kids with an NHS prescription uses 6 bottles a month at £223 a pop! 😳 From the article - "Jasper had tried nine different other medicines, had brain surgery, and an electrical implant was put in his chest - but nothing would stop his fits. Then he tried medical cannabis oil and his mother says his seizures, which once dominated his life, now only occur every few days. "It's just jaw-dropping," Alice says. "For this medication to do this is incredible." Brain surgery before trying a plant that's never killed anyone? In whose world is that remotely sensible? 😡 It's disgusting, it's cruel, it's sick, it needs to change and it could be changed very quickly and relatively easily.

If anyone's interested in trying legal medical cannabis Curaleaf are offering 50% off their first appointment fee with the code '420' until the 31st May. Makes it £25 instead of £50, only time I've seen any discounts at all so it probably won't be repeated for a while. Qualifying conditions are on the link, I use this pharmacy myself and can't fault the service or the products. Any questions feel free to pm me, no stigma, no judgement, if I can help I will but it's quite straightforward most of the time. No, I'm not on commission 🙂 curaleafclinic.com/
