I’ve just finished season 2 of the Aussie version. Well worth a watch. Quite a few loose cannons in there and the last few round tables were insane. After what I thought was a poor start I actually quite enjoyed season 2. The hotel was a poor location compared to the castle in the UK/US shows. As some of the banished faithfuls said, they were generally a bunch of "dumdums". Good ending though. I liked the US version the least, some horrible characters in there, and I couldn't stand Alan doing the Claudia role.

Definitely think that in season 3, the reward for correctly pulling the sword out of the stone, should mean you are given the opportunity to kill one of the others in plain sight. That would be so unbelievably brutal. I think they need to do more killing in plain sight in general i.e. the Miles/Diana type. They need to level the playing the field somehow and give the faithfuls at least some kind of a chance and keep the traitors on their toes, and it could make for some great suspense, making everyone have to quite literally watch their back all day. Will be interesting to see the new twists next series P.S. soz about last night fella. no offence meant Let's not forget that the final of this series was two Faithful to one Traitor and they fouled it up!

Just found an article about the UK/US series.
"Instead of staying at the 19th-century Ardross Castle, after a long day of filming, they actually sleep at the £70-a-night Courtyard by Marriott. The hotel is a 40-minute drive away and is next to Inverness Airport. This means that the cutaway shots of contestants in fancy baths and relaxing in glamorous rooms are shot, not in the place they stay, but in addition to other scenes".
I wonder how the traitors do their late night murders without the rest of the cast hearing them coming back to the hotel. The rooms must be well spread out throughout the hotel.

I can’t quite remember her name but in UK series 1, there was a young girl who was a traitor and she seemingly got banished out of nowhere, when there was no suspicion on her whatsoever. Remember it being quite puzzling at the time though. Anyway I was told through work last month that’s because they all have lunch together, although it’s not filmed like breakfast. She slipped up then apparently and said something so obvious in front of everyone that she got voted off that night.

Anyone else seen this? It's basically a 40 minute round table where 6 "citizens" have to work out who the 2 traitors are. £5k prize fund to split between whoever remains but if any traitors remain, they take it all. Not as bitchy or personal as Claudia's show, as they're complete strangers but was still a decent watch (I'd forgotten Tony Livesy even existed!) Apparently IDTV (Dutch creators of the new show, who we had to buy the rights from) say they've never seen the show before and it's nothing like the new show. More interestingly, the BBC were apparently surprised it had been unearthed and declined to comment....I get the feeling that the Beeb's 2004 idea was nicked and then they had to pay to get it back because they'd completely fogotten themselves that they'd made this (or maybe just failed to protect the format as it was shelved after about 5 episodes apparently).
