Should go without saying but no spoilers please as I've not watched it all myself.
Anyways this is a new reality game show on Channel 1 which recently started where basically there is a group of people living together trying to win money with traitors amongst them who are also trying to win the money for themselves.
It's really good show and I really recommend it. I've partaken in some social deduction games in the past so I understand the format and maybe that's why it appeals so much to me.
Highly recommend it though.

Thank God for that!
I thought it was going to be another thread about Brexit/the Markles/Just Stop Oil/Boris/Kier etc.
Hosted by another BBC nepotee so I'm afraid I'm out.

I literally watched all 5 episodes in a near 24 hour period. Its very good and entertaining.
If you like this you'd probably enjoy a game called "wearwolves" which is pretty much what this is based of.
Basically you'd have a game thread and everyone gets assigned their role. And every night there's a murder, and every evening a lynch. The wolves have a private forum to communicate too. While villagers would have some secret roles which allow them to do stuff such as protect a person from murder one night. Proper good forum game if you get into it despite how nerdy it sounds.

They should have done it so you don't know who the traitors are. Then you can play at home.

We’ve just started watching this on iPlayer. The first episode left us a bit disinterested so we thought we’d give it one more try to see if it improved. And, yes it did.
I think we’ve now seen abought eight episodes and whilst I wouldn’t say it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen, it is quite entertaining with the odd little twist along the way to keep it interesting.
I think it’s one to binge watch rather than view weekly, but I suppose that’s all down to how you like to watch telly.

I agree yeokel that a binge watch would be much more enjoyable but seems they are only releasing a few episodes a week sounds like you have caught up now but there should be another new one released tonight. Really enjoying it so far and sort of supporting the traitors so far too as quite like watching how they play it.

I think the producers shot themselves in the foot last night ... It was quite clear from earlier in the day that Maddy was going to be banished at the round table that evening. She was walking on cloud 9 because she had got the shield but that wouldn't have protected her when it came to vote. On realising she was offski after having been on such a high with the shield, her breakdown would have been MONUMENTAL and the others, on realising she was actually a faithful would have broken out into mass self loathing. It would have been fuckin' ace! Yes I know I'm a sadistic twat! 😄

There's a lot of crying. Am I just insensitive or is this actually what people do when they've known someone for a few days?
More tears than X-Factor.

Really? It's a game show.
Maybe I'm just more like Imran, he seemed pretty level-headed although he did seem to revel in telling people he was the youngest person in the world to get a PHD.
I've just started Episode 7 now. It is brilliant viewing.

Thought it would be a load of shite, slow burner to really good. Finishes today and you couldn’t call it. Some over the top reactions to things, but also worrying how easily and we’ll some people can be rationally good at lying.

I agree with everyone else above. It’s been a superb show and very addictive.
I’d like Wilf to win it but suspect that Kieron will “throw him under the bus”.
Presumably there will be a second series at some point. I hope it’s as good, although have my doubts.

Second series would be good, but need to keep the same format and not piss a pout with it like big brother did. Only change I would like to see is that when murdered (reading the letter) we should see them being told who the traitors are so we can see their reactions. Other than that more of the same.

Only change I would like to see is that when murdered (reading the letter) we should see them being told who the traitors are so we can see their reactions. Other than that more of the same. I think there is alot which you could do with it to be honest to enhance the game. It is very very very similar to a social deduction game named WearWolf/Mafia which alot of people play in person or online over forums, myself included. And when playing WW there is a variety of different variant and roles in the game. So for example: - In WW as long as one "traitor" wins then it is seen as a win for the whole team. So back stabbing team mates is actually a good tactic because it helps safe list yourself as why would a traitor vote a traitor. This is what Wilf has done this game and it's worked very favourably for him.... so far. - In WW we tend to have "privileged followers" as well as "non role followers" whereas in this nobody has a role. Some examples of roles which could be handed out are: - Witness - Can choose to "follow" one other player every night. If the player they follow gets murdered then they learn the identity of the "traitor" - The Seer - Once per turn can ask to learn the role of another player. - Bodyguard - Once per turn can choose to "protect" another player from murder. If the traitors murder that player in the evening, the player won't die. - The Priest - The priest learns the role of every player who has died. In the traitors they reveal at death but in WW/Mafia this doesn't usually happen.
The priest is already sort of in this through the fact players reveal their roles at death. The Bodyguard is also sort of in it, in the sense that they can all win protection for themselves one night. So rather than one person with the role, everyone has the chance to win it.
What makes the game interesting in adding roles such as the above in is it adds a completely different element to the game. An example could be the "bodyguard" for example. A traitor could make the decision to murder nobody in the evening. Then the next morning reveal as the "bodyguard" saying they protected another player and that the traitors must have attempted to murder that player. And in making a bold claim like that they could then effectively "safe list" themselves, especially if the real bodyguard is already dead and can't counter the challenge.
So I agree they should probably stick with the core concept of the game. I do however believe they can still make alot of modifications to the game too to keep it fresh and different.

SPOILER ALERT - MOST RECENT EPISODE (Wednesdays)
I think Wilfred has played a fairly good game so far but I'm actually rooting for Kieran tonight and sort of hope he fucks him over. I think Wilfreds gameplay has been very selfish and self-centred and I sort of hope he gets caught now.
I think recruiting Kieran was a massive mistake in the sense that none of the traitors are men yet so by doing that it's made it very difficult for both to win.
Where Kieran is of benefit is that the followers all know the traitors made one attempt to recruit Alex which they failed with. And to their knowledge they don't think any other attempts to recruit have been made. As Kieran joined the game late and as they know Alex was the one they tried to recruit. That means it's very unlikely Kieran would be traitor unless a second recruit attempt was made, which I get the impression they don't think has happened.
I'm going to assume Aaron dies first tonight. Will his role be revealed when he dies? As Claudia suggested they keep banishing until they are content there are no traitors tonight so I was wandering does that mean the roles of those they banish won't be revealed like usual? If Aaron is banished first and reveals as a faithful then Wilf/Kieran have a real fight on their hands.
The other big flaw with Wilfs game in my opinion is that he hasn't stuck with his game plan at all. He kept saying he wanted to "befriend and betray" but for the last 2 or 3 days he has had Meryll and Hannah joining him in bandwagons on the round table to vote together for their preferred candidate. If I was Meryll or Hannah I would start to be questioning the trio I'm within because if you are still in the game at this late stage then there is a reason why the traitors are keeping you in.
I think Kieran is very intelligent though and convincing and will have already thought of alot of the above. As I strongly suspect Wilfred will try to throw him under the bus, I'm really hoping Kieran comes out guns blazing and fucks over Wilf. Don't get me wrong I like Wilfred and think he has been a superb contestant but he has been a bit of a cunt to his team mates and I think he deserves a bit of karma to come back his direction now.

SPOILER ALERT
I just can't see them clocking that there's going to be two traitors among them. It's not in Wilf and Kieran's interest to say that, and the others are as thick as mince.
I was surprised how well the two of them were able to dominate the conversation yesterday to end up voting a woman out, when it was pretty evident to the others that it would be one of the men. Clever gameplay.
Part of me hopes that Hannah is playing an absolute masterstroke, knowing it is Wilf and befriending him to stay in only to vote him out at the end. Sadly I think she's just been taken in by him.
Prediction - will be one of Kieran or Wilf to win, but not both. Only way the faithfuls will win is if Kieran gets voted out and then just outs Wilf as he's leaving. That's a possibility but not sure if it's against the rules.
