Why was he overweight and out of shape when he arrived if everything was so great at Spurs? Why the fuck did we sign him? Because Kwyten was unavailable

Not going to disagree with any of the assessments of Wimmer however isn't he making a valid contrast between Spurs and Stoke?

No he was unprofessional, if he doesn't have the willpower not to shove a big mac down his gob he is the culpable one
There are hundreds and hundreds of players that have come through our door that are extremely professional and earnt a fraction of what he did, they kept themselves fit and looked after their body, Wimmer isn't one and joins the list of failed footballers that have come through the SCFC door over the last 5 years who are blaming the club as opposed to themselves

That's fine but he's not the first dissenting voice re the off pitch approach at Stoke Just because that waster is saying it doesn't mean he's wrong I see your point, but he's one exception for me. I totally agree that there were off the pitch issues as well as on the pitch issues. But I don't think food was anywhere close to the top. Is he now claiming we're responsible for him being fat and stupid? Just the fact that he's still saying stuff like this in interviews proves how stupid he really is. He was a total disaster as a player who hit the damned lottery finding a team to pay him good money - so take the good money and get on down the road man! I care about what he has to say about as much as I care any bullshit that Jese spouts. He'll be thet next one clamoring about how "unprofessional" we are. Then Berahino will be along to throw in some bullshit about how we didn't babysit him adequately. I find it funny that unprofessionals find the time to criticize the professionalism of their money-cow. I do think we had problems - and some of the biggest problmes were staff like this on the team stealing a living. Just think he needs a smack upside the head before we go after the tea lady.

The millions we paid him to do little more than sit on his fat useless arse have set him up for the rest of his life. The least he could have done was show a bit of dishonest gratitude.

Says a lot about his professionalism if there was a choice between fish 'n' chips and a healthier alternative if he chose fish and chips....

Stoke's fault is it? Of course it is. There was that time Mark Hughes dragged him into a shop and said DRINK THAT COCA COLA. Then they walked past a wrights pie shop and Peter Coates dragged in him and told him EAT THAT STEAK AND KIDNEY PIE AND A CHOCOLATE ECLAIR. Then in the hotel the others were going bed because there was a game the next day Mark Bowen ordered him STAY UP UNTIL 2AM WATCHING PORN AND EATING BISCUITS.
That's what happened so it is all Stoke's fault.

The cheek of the bastard!
He's basically saying 'well I got to Stoke and didn't have to train as hard so I didn't bother'..he must have hired the only bloody personal trainer then that never worked on a Wednesday.
4 clubs in the last 4 years (not including Stoke) and 54 appearances suggests either he still has that personal trainer or those clubs are even more unprofessional than us.
Didn't he come highly rated by Arnautović at the time?

You are a millionaire thanks to us, so is a little dishonest gratitude too much to ask? The more I dwell on this, the weirder it gets! Kind of like stumbling across a corpse - you don't want to look but you can't stop yourself. Could we have just discovered the densest human being on the face of the earth? And still thriving in it's own natural habitat? It's a miracle that anyone still cares enough to interview the gormless tit and he uses the occasion to cough up that hairball?

sportwitness.co.uk/player-admits-major-difference-stoke-tottenham-left-shocked-transfer-didnt-work/He has the cheek to criticize the diet at Stoke. Considering he always looked unfit and overweight Im surprised he has the nerve to come out with this. "The transfer fee was of course a big deal. On the one hand I was incredibly proud, but on the other hand I couldn’t really grasp or even realise that figure,” he told them.
“At that point I was really keen to attack with Stoke, wanted to tackle, make a difference.
“If I’m honest, I was shocked: at Tottenham, every nuance was taken care of, both in training and off the pitch. The best example is the diet: every intolerance was taken care of. There was a gluten-free offer, there was a vegan offer.
“At Stoke you could even order fish and chips for lunch. While at Tottenham you had to beg for a day off, at Stoke, Wednesdays were generally free.
“So, I thought, I don’t know if this can work. So I hired a personal trainer to make good use of the day off.” However could he afford a personal trainer on 100k a week? At that level, the least players should have is a personal dietician, a personal analyst and a personal trainer to get ahead/stay on the curve. Those should be paid for personally and asked to consult with the team’s staff.

Those should be paid for personally and asked to consult with the team’s staff. That's the way it works here in the U.S. Occasionally an agent can negotiate for the club to pay for personal trainers etc. that the athlete chooses. I mean when the money is in the millions, what's a few grand for a personal professional who ties in with team-staff? But even with that: Wimmer's thick as shit - go from Tottenham to Stoke and expect everything to stay the same? Delusional. And we have staff - so I guess he's needing someone to punch him in the mouth every time he tries to stick something fattening in his mouth.

What on earth was Hughes thinking of? Repeat with Berahino Wasn't he bought in a panic when Harry Maguire chose to go to Leicester after we pursued him all summer? I always thought it was done to get one over on Pulis as WBA wanted him too. We didn't need another centre half either way, it was madness. Hughes really should have been long gone by that point.

Occasionally Pulis would sign the odd duff centre half, maybe just ninja-style to sharpen up the rest of them. That’s the only explanation I can think of for Paul Williams.
