It’s only a few weeks until we’re shovelled the same shit with different players which then takes over our lives for the next 12 months.

The obvious choice to go for is Stoke, but I wondered if anyone has any other teams in mind?

After extensive research (one YouTube video) I’m going to start with FC Vaduz in Switzerland. They’re from Liechtenstein so can’t qualify for Europe via the league, so to win the champions league you have to win the Liechtenstein Cup, the europa conference, the europa league and then champions league in consecutive seasons.

Go to The New Gay Meadow. Pretty good season, develope some players. Finish within the tolerances etc,etc.

Role into the new season and the heart of my team, wot I wos buildin on an every fink, up and leave.

I mean, I was running round with one too many saucers and two too many sticks anyway.

Is it my fault… I feel it’s my fault.

With the intelligence from above maybe I should just get the new version and crack on again?

Assuming you're managing in the lower leagues still here are a few things I've picked up over the years. 

1. Get a decent senior affiliate. This allows you to loan players from better teams without having to pay any wages. 
2. Always use your maximum loan quota. This will give you better players at reduced wages. If you submit loan offers on deadline day you can sometimes pick players up without contributing to wages as the parent club wants them to get experience. 
3. Set your scouts up to search for players nearing the end of their contract. This will mean that you can pick up players for free rather than paying transfer fees. Make sure you tick to filter out unrealistic options. I also create my own shortlists for different types of target, so you may wish to create one for players coming to the end of contract, a top target list, future prospect list, etc. 
4. Following on from above, try to pick up the best youth players released by prem teams. 
5. Never spend money on transfer fees whilst in the lower leagues. You can (relatively) easily get to the Prem / top division without spending any money. Instead, adjust your budget so all of your funds go into wages which allows you to sign better free players demanding higher wages. 
6. Offer trials to players to avoid spending ages scouting them. Having them on trial for a week will allow you to see all of their attribute points, whilst 2 weeks will allow you to see this plus their traits. I'd recommend having no more than 10 triallists at a time during the season as it affects training workload, but fill your boots in the closed season. 
7. Most lower league teams have awful youth teams and coaches. If this is the case, end all of the contracts and don't run reserve teams. This frees up wages for your first team. If by some miracle you get a decent player in a youth intake just promote him to the first team and have him train there. 

I genuinely wouldn't worry about players leaving because if you follow the above you're likely to replace them with better ones for free anyway.

The only bits I had touched on were bringing up the kids as soon as I could (found a cracking striker that way) and the loans which, I think I was mostly rebuffed on.

The board were pretty happy on the financial front but it did feel like we were operating on buttons and a little bit of lint.
Cant wait to give it another shot forewarned and forearmed.

Of the Xbox I have CK3 but am actually still playing 2 (again thanks to those here) Haven’t a clue what I’m doing most of the time but have fun doing it.

Another thing you may want to do is try playing something like 4132 or 4312. This way you can just stack up CMs forget about searching for wingers and their backup. Makes scouting easier and keeps wages down.

I always find the best way to manage is to bring in young players cheaply and sell for a profit. Then reinvest the transfer funds generated into increasing wages. As you go up the leagues this becomes easier.

Aside from scouting nations/regions I tend to bulk scout youth national teams. I tend to look for players playing below the max age, e.g. players below 19 playing in U21s as they’re playing above their age group if that makes sense.

If you want to be a real saddo (I’ve done this), you can go onto the world screen and click transfers. Click youth intake and sort by newest date. This allows you to offer trials and contracts to any new gen player created in the game, so you can recruit some of the best young players in the game before they sign a pro contract with anyone else (just keep an eye on compensation levels here though).

If you mean you want a bigger club than your own to get their loan players then you need to request a senior affiliate.

If you mean a bigger lower league affiliate team then this can be a little more difficult in the lower leagues. As your club reputation increases you should be able to attract better affiliate teams. Where possible, try and get ones with half decent training facilities as this can impact your players during their time on loan.

If you’re trying to get youngsters out on loan here’s a few things I’d consider (another list incoming):

1. Don’t loan them out until they’re 18. Young players benefit more from training before this age, and the chances are your coaches will be better than the team you loan them to. Once they reach 18 (or just before depending on the transfer window) offer them out on loan.

2. When offering out on loan, instead of just setting wage demands, etc. use the more detailed option. This allows you to set parameters on minimum game time, training facilities, etc. Setting this should ensure that players go to clubs where your ‘minimum standard’ is applied. You’ll need to play around with this and increase it as you move through the leagues.

3. If you get several offers for a young player, make sure you cast your eyes over the clubs and squads. Check their training facilities, but also check the squad to see how many players they would be competing against in the same position. The fewer players there are means the more chance of game time. Also check the predicted league position as you want them to go to a club performing well (or expected to) as you need them to get good player ratings to progress well.

Think mine is more of a goalkeeper.

Communication is a 2, she never listens to me and then constantly claims she’s told me stuff that she never has.

Rushing Out is a big, fat 0, she’s never taken less than 2 hours to get ready for a night out.

Took stoke up as champions first season 94 points.

Finished 7th first season

Bursik, Souttar, Taylor, Tymon, Laurent, Campbell and Tezgel all featuring regularly still.

Third season battling for Europe still, top of the europa league league thing and haven’t dropped a point yet.

A couple of players to recommend, seimen the GK is incredible. Sylla a CB, dantas at CM and star of the show is Hojlund. He’s the Danish Haaland.

Same core of players as you but Campbell won’t renew contract and it seems to have glitches out as no matter what he won’t renew and he doesn’t want to leave 🤷‍♂️. Signed Ibrahimovic and he’s a massive backing for me in the dressing room. For me the best signing so far has been a full back called Nathan from Brazil. I’m in the league cup final beat Man City reserves 3-0 in the first leg then lost 3-1 to their first team in the second leg to scrape through ✊. Is it only me though or every time I play lately the Coates family sell up once we get promoted

The Coates thing has been happening for since we got relegated. Every now and then you get a big investor but usually it’s just more of the same.

It’s massively frustrating all my planned budgets disappeared and I got just £30 mill to survive in the prem and an extra 200k a week in wages. Luckily I managed off load Wilmot for £13 mill and I’d signed small one on a permanent with the Coates money before they went. I’ve got £40mil in the bank and making money monthly but my backing is poor

Well I finished 6th bottled the league cup final to Chelsea then bottles the fa cup to the shit. Managed to sign a load of youngsters on a free and the bonus of getting Endrick for £11 million over Juventus and Chelsea. Was managing Senegal but I’ve been offered the French job and I’ve took it. See where I go from here started season three with a win over Sheffield Utd wolves up next.

Anybody tried proper wingbacks this year? Not the 4231 with the full backs being wingbacks. Had a look around some websites and it’s all 4 at the back. I think I read Endrick has signed for Real Madrid too so not long until we can’t sign him. I’m thinking of just going with Tezgel anyway.

Third in the nextgen award with me started first season in the prem with 5 goals in 3 games but then got injured and just couldn’t kick on finished with 10 for the season. Hoping for more this year 2 in the first game.

Near the end of season three. Last eight of the Europa, fourth in the prem but 6 points off top with 7 games left. Tezgal has been ridiculous 40 odd goals in the season, Endrick has been good not spectacular but getting better. Bargains are Shakur Omar from Atalanta and Baturina from Dinamo. Despite a goal every 60 minute in the prem Tezgal not getting a sniff with England at U21 or first team, just won the nextgen with Endrick second. I’m hoping qualify for the champions league this season, I’ve brought in Rabiot and Richarldson in January and I have one of the lowest wages in the league so I should have money to spend stadiums getting another 5k seats over the summer so that’s a bonus.
