Promoted in 2nd first season. 8th and qualified for Europa Conference the second. And won the league with only 78 points and won the Europa Conference in the third. Been moved to Wolverhampton Community Stadium for a year as the ground gets an extra 13500 seats.

Andreas Schjelderup has been a brilliant signing on the left wing. Tezgel now 3.5 stars as is every position in my best eleven oddly enough but he’s not banging them in. Just signed Eldrick as back up!

I won the europa league with a 8-1 victory against Roma 🤷‍♂️ finished 5th in league lost heavy in the run in finished 13 point behind Man City. Tezgel over 50 goals in the season 33 in the league and 22 in the europa league with 5 in the final. Getting the same expansion myself but capacity being reduced not moving have over £100mil in the bank and I’ve hoovered up a load of young talent again. Tuanzabe I got for peanuts it going for 22million and I’ve signed a Croatian for five mill replace him. Bringing in mealier from Leeds as competition for Bursik, got de gea but wages were ridiculous so bummed that idea off. Champions league football still not enough beat off newcastle for players as they keep spending ridiculously and finishing 14th.

That’s decent. I’ve gone for a different formation and we’re scoring plenty now. I don’t like the new CL/EL/ECL format. Two extra games and no draw for it.

It’s weird but I don’t think I will do well in this champions league campaign my seeding will be too low so I will probably get at least 6 good teams out the eight drawn

I noticed this too but he is now more consistent (5th season). Scored six as we beat Tottenham 8-0 too. Moving to Stanley Matthews Park in 2030, 62500 capacity.

As some of you will know, mostly through helping me in my amateur bungles, I started this for the first time in with 22.

I downloaded 23 and started a new career with Forest Green (no, I’m not sure why either) anyway, not sure if I had inadvertently set something on 22 but 23 seem much more helpful in getting into the game.

So..this is a big thank you to all who helped in the past and the caveat that I will probably have new stupid questions in the future.

Had a cracking 2-2 with Luton pre season. Moved a couple of players out, brought some experience in and have now lost the dressing room and the fans by appointing a new captain.

Forest Green may soon look like my training wheels.

Is anyone playing FM23 mobile version? I got it about three weeks ago and played as Stoke obviously. Just completed the first season getting into the playoffs finishing in third place only to loose to Burnley. Drew the first game one each and lost the home tie one nil. I was absolutely devastated but have started my second season well and am top after winning my first four games. If anyone is playing the mobile version any ideas for good young players who don't cost too much would be greatly appreciated? I know the database isn't as vast on the mobile version but it's a great game and it's fair to say I'm as addicted to the game as I used to be with the old champ managers when I used to play them on the pc.

How’s everyone doing?

I’ve finished my Stoke career. Top of every hall of fame, new stadium named after me (restarted my original career), and winning everything nearly every season meant that there was nothing more to achieve.

Started a tour of Europe career where I’m aiming to win the top the top divisions in the top countries. Started with Benfica and hoping to move on to Netherlands before I tackle the big ones (Spain, Italy, Germany).

After that career I might challenge myself with Athletic Bilbao and their Basque only rule or see how far I can take a Conference North team.



Funnily enough my formation that has worked incredibly well so far…

I'm still playing FM22. Seeing as some of you have been playing it for a few months now, is it worth upgrading? Or wait until FM24?

To be honest, I'm inclined to wait as I'm absolutely loving the long term save I've been doing (Buxton --> St Pauli --> Sunderland --> Dortmund)

Do the databases still get updated for previous games? That alone would be cause for a new game every year if not. If so, probably not. The new squad builder is ok but not really needed as I can do that in my head and with the stuff that’s already there. The UEFA licensing is a nice addition but nothing special if you already play the desktop version and get all the name/icon fixes. Talking to the agent player availability, interest levels and contract requirements before doing the actual negotiation part is useful.

Obviously we might play the game in different ways so just have a look around.

I didn’t like going from The Victoria Ground to The Brittania Ground to The Bet 365 Stadium.

Unfortunately not because the guy who creates the English Lower League DB I use has to start from near scratch for every edition which must be painful for him.

I'm on the desktop version so always get the real name fixes and icons so that's covered.

Had a look at the SI Forums but I find that board is used to vent and get angry so it's not really balanced.

Been playing the PS5 version of FM23 this time round. No doubt though I'll be custom databasing on PC Game Pass at some point.

Couple of different saves going/done.

Started unemployed - took over Sanluqueno in the third tier of Spanish football. Rescued them from relegation certainties to the play offs, but lost in the final 3-2. Contracts ran out and left with a team of 12. Resigned two games into the new season

Took the Stoke job on another, one signing on loan (Sarr - Reading). Finished 2nd, promoted with a game to spare, just behind Norwich by 1 point. Effectively 4231 Gegenpress (as is rather meta), 21 game unbeaten streak. Manager of the year and Brown finished top scorer.
Currently rock bottom in the prem though 7 games in, really struggling so need to implement new tactics, even new signings struggling.

Also a save in charge of Serie C/A team Triestina, using a 41212 Wide. Having fun with this one, we score for fun, high tempo instructions, counter pressing and underlapping runs from the left and right. High attacking line, standard defensive line.

You can’t. It’s up there with some of the best returns I’ve had on any of these games. I normally have the goals shared throughout the squad.

Gone back to it today and set off a full scale rebellion with my team as I haven’t kept enough promises 🤷‍♂️. Souttar, Taylor, Bursik and ampadue have all requested leave Campbell wants go at end of season and Harry winks is off as I’ve replaced with better. I wouldn’t be bothered but they are a large bulk of my home grown for Europe. Tezgel is on 16 in 16 and my new board surprisingly are backing me I had no money in the coffers but £140 mill in th bank I asked them sign a player and they did and the contract is not ridiculous. If the window now goes right I should bring in at least £40mil and endrick has been approached by dortmund and he’s not interested so that’s a result. I’ve signed Theo the son of Zidane and he’s a bargain not quite ward prowse with corners and free kicks but it’s a new weapon in the armoury. Only thing fans not happy about is the fact I’m not playing Smallbone enough as he’s a fan Icon.

We were 1 point above relegation, but after a slightly shaky start, I’m now on a 25 game unbeaten streak in all competitions. Now sit 3rd with just 6 pts off of 2nd and 8 away from 1st.

Just some of the results, some cut off from the screen though and because I’d have to scroll to fit them in otherwise. Must be the best streak I’ve gone on yet.

I downloaded it on the console after reading this thread a few weeks ago. As usual I picked stoke and started my tactic of trying to sign wonderkids but struggled due to work permit issues. I also stumbled on a 442 tactic on FM Scout which seemed to work for me. Weirdly and obviously not true to real life Gayle and Kilkenny were key players for me as I got promoted. Sitting in 12th in prem but struggling to buy a win at the moment with a lot of draws.

Second attempt at the National League with Southend the other day

Absolutely smashed it. 115 points and the record goals scored by a team, winning by 1 goal!
Got a striker in on loan from Charlton (can't remember his name off the top of my head), just in their reserves or U21's I think, but scored 45 goals in all comps.
Signed him up on a perm in League 2.
