I’m just looking at at next years holiday for me, my wife and daughter after getting home from a superb break in Turkey. I’ve just priced up the same holiday…hotel…flights, similar dates etc for next year and it’s £1500 more expensive than this year ! So I had a look on another web site and it’s just as expensive. There’s no way I’ll be paying over £5k for 10 days abroad…no chance…anyone else looking or can recommend a good deal anywhere…Rhyl excluded 😂😎

Looked at the same place for next year and was double! Interestingly there was some right deals for Spain and wandering if they're trying to flog there first given they've probably struggled because Covid measures were still in play there this summer.

It means the price is greater at certain times. The Balcony in Monaco is cheaper to rent when there aren’t cars going round the streets. My apologys if I’m Marylansplaining …..tickets for Broooooces latest tour got up to $5,000 a piece for some shows.

Sitting on the ferry as I type waiting to leave Dublin. First real break (6 days) in 4 years. Brought the car, great time and lovely people but next year will be one of those singles trips somewhere unless I get lucky chatting up my neighbour. I'll do a bit of homework.

Me and the mrs got off a ferry from Sorrento to Naples, and just off the harbour we walked slap-bang into many 1000's of Bruce Springsteen fans, with a seemingly equal amount of Italian police, all trying to out-dance one another. It was a surreal and wonderful moment.

Going Majorca early in September, all inclusive but can only have 3 alcoholic drinks at dinner time and 3 in the evenings , so it's not all inclusive then is it 😐
Apparently you have to prove that you can and are going to spend €85 per day as well . What if I don't want to spend €85 a day though 🤔
Could be media bollocks I don't know but either way we'll be going to one of the Greek Islands next year where it's cheaper and less arsing about which is a shame because I class Majorca as a second home, we love the place.
I recommend Rhodes, beautiful island , not too expensive and steeped in history and culture and probably the friendliest people I've ever come across.

Usual media spin have whipped nothing into something. Anyone from outside the EU could be asked to prove proof of funds for the duration of their stay. Now that we're out of the EU the Gov have recently added this to their website so the media panicked everyone by making out it's a rule to gain entry. There's also a rule about proof of accomodation but again these sort of things will only get asked if they suspect you're not really there on holiday. Can you imagine the queues as every passenger waits to show their bank accounts/wallets/credit cards + doc's for accomodation then your passports and also currently Covid passes. You might get through just in time for your return flight

Weather is fantastic with it being southern Spain. Flights are very decent prices as Malaga has a lot of competition from Airlines. There's a trainline that runs from Malaga through Malaga airport and along to Fuengerola via Torrmelinos and Benalmadena. Trains run every 20 mins and are very cheap so we bounce around the different resorts and have a day in Malaga. Benal has a mix of everything, posh bars and restaurants down by the marina but also loads of cheap English bars just off the beach and further up the hills. Beaches are very nice and long so not packed. You've also got days out to Gibraltar & Marbella & Porta banus ran from there on coaches.

But I suppose if you compare to Benidorm ect then probably!

Rip off. I take it your hotel is in the Magaluf area ? No it's in Palma Nova , I think the 3 drinks rule is Balearic wide though. 3 drinks isn’t Balearic wide. I’ve just got back from Mallorca and it definitely applies in Magaluf (but not all of it) though. There are maps of the areas where it applies. In Magaluf there are hotels which are affected by this and other on the opposite side of the road, virtually, hotels which aren’t. Same type of deal in Ibiza as far as I’m aware. Specific places are targeted but far more areas where there are no restrictions.

I think ours might be one of the one's that are included in the restrictions to be honest, not that I'm massively arsed because I don't plan on getting pissed every night anyway, not when we've got a 2 and half year old toddler to look after. Still, the option would be nice 😄
