I guess you just need to research your destination. Went to Mykonos a couple of months back. In one part it was 30 Euro a meal and 15 Euro a beer, then less than a mile away in an equally impressive establishment it was 10 Euro a meal and 4 Euro a beer. Only difference was in the cheaper area there wasn’t a throng of throbbers taking selfies and generally being complete bell ends. If anything I’d pay more for the pleasure of not seeing these complete waste of oxygen on my night out. Each to their own i guess

Highly recommend Zakynthos. Great food, good value, friendly people and a short transfer from the airport to Tsilivi, where we stayed. Looked at going this year but there just weren't any decent deals in the school holidays.
Off to Murcia on Satdee.

Benidorm, Protaras, sa coma, Rhodes, Zante, Malta have been our holidays past few years and at the moment in Algarve for 2 weeks. Always manage to get 4 star all in for 2 weeks for around 2.5-3k for 2 adults and a child (usually pay adult rate for him). Not even looked for next year yet but would imagine it won't vary too much as long as we are not too picky. Algarve is probably the cheapest of all the recent destinations we have been in terms of eating out / taxis, granted not being an island helps!

I read an article suggesting the Albanian coast is a new up and coming destination and people are getting some great deals. Anybody been? My sister was filming there in March. She loved it but was all paid for and she was being paid for being there.

We're going to Kos in a couple of weeks. 4 star all inclusive, adult only, right on the beach. We've stayed at this hotel before and it never disappoints. Got a few booked for next year already, booked early to get the flights and accommodation that we wanted as some were almost fully booked already.

Going Majorca early in September, all inclusive but can only have 3 alcoholic drinks at dinner time and 3 in the evenings , so it's not all inclusive then is it 😐 Apparently you have to prove that you can and are going to spend €85 per day as well . What if I don't want to spend €85 a day though 🤔 Could be media bollocks I don't know but either way we'll be going to one of the Greek Islands next year where it's cheaper and less arsing about which is a shame because I class Majorca as a second home, we love the place. I recommend Rhodes, beautiful island , not too expensive and steeped in history and culture and probably the friendliest people I've ever come across. I’m in Majorca now (Playa de Muro). No fucker was interested in the 85 euros a day thing. They did want to see the covid certificate and scan the barcode though. I would say though the supermarket prices seem quite steep this year in comparison with previous years.

I'm more inclined to go to SE Asia the flights are higher but hotels and food & drinks are still cheap as chips. I depends on what your budget is and what "standards" you like I'm happy watching the world go by in a cheap bar on a plastic chair drinking local spirits etc. My last Thai holiday cost £1500 flights and hotel for 14nights then whatever food and drinks you prefer. I know somebody who spent 5k on 10days in the canaries but he thought it was a bargain not for me it wasn't.

It was nearly 10 years ago but we managed Dubai for 2 nights then 5 different cities in SE Asia including all flights, hotels, travel, excursions, food, drink and quite a lot of gifts for less than 5k for a family of 4, think it was about 17 nights in total.

I’m currently in Paphos Cyprus. All inclusive with the family.
The place is great but I despair at some of these absolute British cunts here
No fucking manners at all.
Not enough pleases and thank yous to the staff looking after them. Like pigs in the dining hall, not putting serving spoons etc back. Leaving freezer door open. Not supervising their young kids causing havoc at the various serving plates.
Leaving empty plates and glasses round the pool expecting them cleaned up
Scousers the fucking worse

And referring to the all inclusive. A certain menu of drinks is all inclusive at the various bars until 11pm. As much as you want but only two at a time.
Premium alcohol is charged.
The cheap gin is ok as is the local beer

I’ve got Greece coming up in august and got New York trip planned too.
I’ve been looking at next year too and prices are all over the place. Trouble is many airlines haven’t yet released flights so the prices won’t stabilise for a while.

There's all inclusive too but some of the Brits are frankly embarrassing. Got our wee one trained to say the basics and clear our own table rather than leaving it a shit tip which goes down an absolute treat with the staff. Wee one been sharing toys and sweets with kids regardless of nationality too so its a hive of activity where we sit. A Spanish fella just bought me two beers from the supermarket before going home because our wee lass kept their nipper occupied and the bloke behind the bar has chucked me a pint or two free each night. It's really not hard to get the locals onside so long as you're not a weapons grade bellend.

Was quite funny and entertaining for us and the staff seeing the Mrs slightly tipsy on Ouzo, probably the reason they kept on giving her more.

Been to Chicago and Wichita, Kansas (wedding) this year, a week at Knepp rewilding and a week in the Cotswolds, have a 2 week train tour of Italy booked in September with stopover in Paris on the way out and back, Turin, Sorrento, Tropea, Bologna and Milan. Chicago was very good, they even had a Somerset cider bar on the riverside walk

Doing something different this summer, 10 days in Belgium/Holland taking in Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent, The Hague, Haarlem, Utrecht amongst other places, then 5 nights in Dutch Center Parcs on the coast before heading back to Blighty.
Post-Covid we've been cutting down on air travel and there's so much to do in mainland Europe anyway so should be good.........

I'm hoping for Boston next year as well, maybe with a train down to NY. It was Wichita and then rural Kansas, so not the city Kansas, didn't like it at all, it's what you see on the TV, religious belt, guns, pick up trucks, trump supporting land with no decent food, all cheap shit with massive portions, and sugar in everything.
