nacionale.com/sport/celina-prane-rikthimit-ne-angli-kalon-testet-mjekesore-te-stoke-city?Bersant Celina will return to English football. The sources of the National Gazette close to the footballer indicate that he has successfully completed the medical tests at Stoke City. Officialization is a matter of time. Stoke City is the club that has been keenly searching for him during this transfer window. The club that is part of the Championship had expressed interest in him even during the summer transfer window, but the documentation of the Kosovar attacker was a problem. According to the information provided by Gazeta Nacionale to the footballer, such a problem no longer exists, as he has been provided with a work permit. In addition , he has also successfully passed the English club's medical tests. Celina's move to Stoke City will be on a six-month loan. Stoke City will have the option to buy him at the end of this loan period.

They bought him when they were in the top league, but they seem to have been loaning him out since they got relegated. Probably cash-strapped?

Getting a lovely reception on various Stoke Facebook pages due to his looks. Didn't realise we had such a set of good looking fans.

Bit of a stretch. Sarkic is from Grimsby and Celina doubtless speaks good English having played here for several years. No need for them to form some sort of Balkan mafia. I acknowledged that they both spoke good English. Merely pointing out they have something in common which may well encourage camaraderie, but hey ho... Sarks is a Montenegrin isn’t he?

Is this the end of Smallbone’s loan?
I still think all of the loanees will be gone if we can.
Sterling the only possible exception (but he was an AN signing).

As his contract ends with Chelsea wonder if we could sign him to free up another loan

Pretty sure Alex said in one of his interviews last week that sterling was arranged before AN arrived. So he would have been a MON signing. Can’t see that, Fosu was MON’s solution to his wing back mess I thought?

From what I understand they are completely different types of player - Smallbone is central attacking mid and Celina is more wide mid/winger. More of a replacement for Fosu. Get rid of Smallbone and we need someone else and to be honest it's way more likely we'll get rid of Powell given Neil's preferences for that position and Powell's injury record.

Listening to what Celina says he certainly sees himself as a no10 type.

This (potential) signing has really peaked my interest.
He seems to have ability.
Is the right kind of age.
And I like the idea of a 'try before you buy' loan deal.

I'll always like a loan which has an option to buy built in. Player has something to play for, low risk but high reward if they are successful.
