If confidence was his main issue, sitting on his arse for last few years won’t have helped that.

Massive shot in the dark for any club to sign him, you would have thought.
Hope it works out well for him as he had the world at his feet in 2016, and despite making piles of money, the last 7 years must have gone about as far from how he expected as is possible.

Does being a sub for United in the FA cup mean that in the event they win the final he will get a medal?

We signed Powell. Now I don't remember any tweets but there were numerous rumours (which often amount to the same thing) saying he'd previously expressed his hatred for Stoke. We still signed him and accepted him as fans. Show me where he's said stuff against us and its not just conjecture? I’ve heard the neighbours a kiddie fiddler but I’m not saying it’s true

I wondered this, part of match day squad but not making it on to the field of play.. ??! * Just read up on it to check.. For the FA Cup and League Cup you have to be in the squad that plays in the final (even if you are an unused substitute)

oh... Reading the thread title, thought he'd eaten a bad curry or something.
Manure? OK...I guess, I mean I like Jack but my problem is that I can't like anything Manure, so... So he IS on the move, to Manure.
There's a symmetry there... eerie.

Good move for him if true, a joke of a league but a chance to play a few Europa League qualifiers…

Aye, taking the money over playing the game. Some might see that as cowardice but fair play, he’s not bothered about playing and is thinking about his bank balance.

I can’t fault him if he takes the money with it being far more, but I’d like to see him as number one at Rangers. It would be brilliant if there was a way he could get his career back on track and contend for a spot in the England squad.

I hope he gets his career back on track but any talk of England ever again is pie in the sky. Excluding Pickford there's Ramsdale, Pope and Henderson all looking to get number one.

win win for jack, sit on the united bench and see out is career or go Rangers win a bit without breaking sweat, he would only need the rubbing oil for is back when playing in Europe, and after a celtic game

Of course, if it’s a big payday it’d be hard to turn it down, especially given his previous form, his agent must be a genius

See that word "cowardice" and "coward" bandied around on here a lot, and it's use is absolute bollocks in my opinion. Whatever career path he chooses, it won't be through being a coward. Whatever managerial decision a manager makes won't be through being a coward. Fucking winds me up.

I like JB, when my lad was about 10 he came over off his own steam without being asked and posed for photo, autographs etc
Footballers get stick for ignoring young fans, JB isn't one of them.
How he gets his bumper contract

From a training perspective, I suspect Jack looks ridiculously impressive. Maybe he's impressed them in training and they are thinking "wow, what a keeper we have here".
He was ridiculously impressive in warm ups and when we got the chance to watch him in training. His party piece of striking goal kicks with either foot into the ball bag being held by the coach around the dug out area is amazing to watch.

How he gets his bumper contract He remains my lad's hero to this day. He was unbelievable with him on so many different occasions. I've never been so gutted to see a players form and confidence fall apart as much as I was Butland. I would love nothing more (well apart from seeing us be half decent again) than to see him at a level he always looked likely to reach pre-injury late in his career. Not that he will but a bit of luck and you never know. I was hoping De Gea was going off in a recent game when he saved that shot with his face. Jack gets on, plays a blinder and you never know what that could lead to.

Good luck to him. It’s a nice spot to be in for sure. I’m still sad at how it ended here with him but I don’t think it was ever through lack of caring because he clearly cared. Ironically, maybe he cared too much?

Jack made a mistake clearing the ball which led to a Leeds equaliser. The Stoke fans had been chanting " England #1" all game, so the Leeds fans starting singing it, taunting his mistake. But Jack had the last laugh and stepped up to take the last penalty in the shoot out and scored the winning goal. One of those things you never forget.

His form went downhill badly with us at the end, but he is still better than what we had last season between the sticks.

He'll also keep up their quota of home grown players aswell by being named in their Premier League & potentially European squads.
Similar to Scott Carson being listed in the Man City squad still, he's been on their books since 2019 & has made just 1 appearance..
Think Jack will be a more than suitable back up keeper aswell for Man Utd, he's also 7yrs younger than Scott Carson so got a good few years ahead of him as a keeper yet.
