Saturday 1 July - The Underground, Hanley. Metal 2 the Masses Six local-ish bands riffing it out for a chance to play Bloodstock: Chaindrive Suicide Hole Kings Abyss Era's End Bloodnores Doomsday Sun The Underground is a proper rock club, sadly getting fewer gigs each year. This event offers value for money and a chance to support a grassroots venue and emerging bands, for £6.60, rather than chuck £200 away on some bland American millionaires. Just a few tickets left for this Sundays show at Fulford with a young artist from London, Isabella Coulstock headlining on the back of supporting The Who at the O2 in London last year. Supporting will be an old favorite of ours, Wes Finch from Coventry... It's cabaret style seating and you can bring your own booze (or the lovely Mrs Pretzel will serve you with free hot drinks  ) Tickets bought direct from myself for this one are just £12.50. Baskery sound good and unique, coming up at Artisan Tap in Hartshill on Thursday 14th. Check out the drummer/singer/banjo player doing all 3 at once! Support comes from Leek-based Vox Americana.
