Hard to figure out our strategy. We have Jagielka, Flint, Wilmott, Forrester, Taylor and Fox as Centre back options. Surprised we need another as I thought a 6 month deal for Jagielka was to cover Souttar’s return and World Cup absence. If we are signing another, presumably one or two are off or going on loan. (The left side cover comment doesn’t augur well for Fox maybe? One more midfielder seems right with Laurent, Baker, Thompson, Clucas and Powell. Maybe TOB is off? But surely we need more up front? DWP, Brown, Campbell and bits of Powell seems very short. A centre forward and one or two others seems the minimum Hoping for a GK but can see why MON couldn’t say so publicly Was talk of Kelleher a few weeks back. Maybe are looking, certainly the weakest area of the team

Could be a hat trick of signings from Reading with us looking at Rinomhota (sp) and also Lucas Joao

Could be a hat trick of signings from Reading with us looking at Rinomhota (sp) and also Lucas Joao Definitely the type of striker we need. Always struck me as quite Sidibe-esque but with a lot more goals.

Always struck me as quite Sidibe-esque but with a lot more goals. Agree with that. Is he out of contract though, or coming close to it? I can’t see him being cheap if not. I’ve always thought he’s played well enough against us in the past. Pretty fast and athletic but gets the goals as well.

Has the link to Lucas João got any more meat too it than a monkeycat hint? (monkeycat is usually very good with nuggets of intel)

Lucas João last season Played 24 Goals 10 Assists 3 Really solid, could be looking at a 20 goal striker if we can get a hold of him and keep him fit

Joao Rinomhota LW loan CB loan (6months)
RB/LB - back up
Fox, Clucas, Etebo, Afobe. Gone
Great window with our new additions.

I just can’t see that to be honest. Fox may want to try and get a move, rather than being a back up though. They have both been injured for much of the last year; why would anyone else want them?

I can’t see us being in a position to do that. If Watford were after Afobe and are in the market for a striker, I could see them getting him instead.

It’s very worrying that he doesn’t mention a goalkeeper, the two we have are simply not good enough

Latest Sentinel Q&A. Sounds like it's going to be wing-backs as the primary formation, which surprised me a bit. Maybe more 3-4-3 though, to get Campbell more on the right? Odd to have Souttar, Jagileka and Flint all going for that central spot in the 3 though?

Be happy if we unload Bursik, bring in an experienced keeper and make a few quid for a forward say. Desperately need a better keeper

Could do with a De Goey, Crossley, Nash type signing. Experienced and dominant keeper that wouldn’t cost a fortune

Apart from Tymon it doesn't really suit anyone.
