Frenkie De Jong is meant to be joining so they have. Another lovely footballer. I think Eriksen brings a maturity that Pogba and Ronaldo don't have. A team ethos that neither have. And is the complete opposite of them completely. Willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the team. He's a fantastic player and a fantastic pro. Something they're missing. He is in a similar mould to players they have rid of though right? I mean Pogba I agree with the maturity sides of thing, but he is an unreal player. I think with De Jong that will change the way they play more than an Eriksen Pogba is great when he wants to or if you build the side around him. He didn't want to very often and they didn't build a side around him. De Jong is a water carrier more than anything. Eriksen offers creativity and work rate. They've got rid of Pogba who they didn't arguably need as they had Fernandes and Mata who was inconsequential.

I agree he's a fantastic player but him, Bruno, De Jong and even Van De Beek are all slight variations of the same player, if they put 3 of those in the same team they'll get smashed week in week out. They need a top class striker, a top class defensive midfielder and a top class quick defender. Do I mix him up with someone else or isn't De Jong more of a defensive midfielder? maybe thinking of Nigel de Jong who used to play for man city?

Luton spending on a second striker (although it'll probably only reach that total if they win the Champions League)
Looks very much like they're getting ready to sell their big striker, Adebayo?
He's probably well out of range for us though.

Another Champ team interested in Morris. Could it be us?
We like dealing with Barnsley, and he's 6' 2"

Possibly, but we're probably looking at a really limited pool of players we could get, and everyone must be looking at the same names And maybe it's only 2m with loads of add-ons?

A squad should have just as many defenders as forwards.

Can definitely see Morris being the type we're after, style-wise - and given how shallow the pool, I'd be reasonably surprised if he wasn't on the shortlist.
Probably about the top end we could afford, even if we're banking on the Collins sell-on money too? He'll be on very low wages
Barnsley fans rate him.

He had a touch of Nick Powell about when I’ve watched him. Holds the ball up well, lays it off. He’s a clever player and I’ve touted him in the past. Not prolific but would be an option to play alongside Brown and/or Campbell. Anyway, I’m getting carried away…

The lack of any genuine links to attacking players is very very concerning.

Looks like Morris is Luton-bound, so they must be selling Adebayo.

And he’s the sort of player Wilder would have. I guess I’m a coward with players like these mind for big money. Just seems a risk but he is more than just a big nuisance. Which would make me feel more at ease. He’s a very tidy footballer with his physical attributes too.

The lack of any genuine links to attacking players is very very concerning. there were no links to last three players we've signed so maybe that's a good thing

Blown out the water by Luton Town!
Doughty - 500k Woodrow - 1M Macey - 100k Morris - 2M Luke Freeman - free
They'll probably sell Adebayo to pay for it, but at least it's getting properly reinvested rather than being used to pay players off.
Wowzers.

Why are we trying to speculate on strikers, we all pretty much know it will be Maja.

Because the type of striker MON has indicated he wants diverges from the kind of striker Maja is? He needs 4 forward players minimum We have to start finding some minutes for Tezgel at this point surely? I could see us signing at a push a target man and Maja. It looks increasingly like we're going with wing backs again so I'm not sure we'll sign any wide options.

Because the type of striker MON has indicated he wants diverges from the kind of striker Maja is? He needs 4 forward players minimum If Powell's injured seriously, he probably does. A Powell replacement. The physical striker he's mentioned Maja (if he still wants him) A left-sider, maybe JPB?

Because the type of striker MON has indicated he wants diverges from the kind of striker Maja is? He needs 4 forward players minimum 4! Do you mean 4 strikers total? Or 4 new strikers in addition to Brown and Campbell? That would be insane or do you mean including wide forwards? Think we need 3 attackers myself JPB, Maja and a target msn Or are you including attacking midfielder assuming Powell out for ages?

You could argue we needed Powell back-up before Powell's injury.
So if Powell's injured long-term, you could argue it's now 5.
Powell replacement Back-up to the Powell replacement Physical striker to lead the line and complement Brown/Campbell Another striker (Maja?) Left-sided wide option (JPB?)
Could we get by with just the physical striker, and not pursue Maja or AN Other striker? Maybe.
