They may well kick Ecuador out and replace them with Chile because what they did was quite serious. Apparently, the player entered Ecuador illegally using a false passport with expressed intent of playing football and was financed by an Ecuadorian businessman. The Ecuador Football Federation knew about the crime and covered it up. Ben Brereton-Diaz must be hoping so. Could well be wrong, but if Chile did replace Ecuador, might he be the first player born in SoT to play at a world cup since Matthews? In fact the only other one. Ramsdale could break that duck if he gets the nod ahead of Pickford.

Robbie Earle? Technically Newcastle I guess... Was going to put forward Neil Franklin but checking on him reveals he fucked off to Colombia in May 1950 just before the World Cup in Brazil never to play for his country again.

Definitely counts in my book - I make no distinction between N-u-L and S-o-T, although of course plenty would take a different view.

We now have Potteries born world cup players coming out of our ears!

We now have Potteries born world cup players coming out of our ears! Whilst I have no interest in the England team, he should definitely be their first choice goalkeeper. He's far superior to Pickford.

So the team that didn't qualify is better than the one that did?.. makes sense. Well I'd rather play Saudi Arabia than Italy

Wonder if they'd really kick Ecuador out at this stage? They may well kick Ecuador out and replace them with Chile because what they did was quite serious. Apparently, the player entered Ecuador illegally using a false passport with expressed intent of playing football and was financed by an Ecuadorian businessman. The Ecuador Football Federation knew about the crime and covered it up. As a matter of interest, why would Chile be the replacement country if Ecuador were disqualified? Peru would be the obvious team as they were beaten in the play off by Australia and Colombia finished above Chile in the CONMEBOL qualifying group?

Red is awful and hate those collars on shirts.
White a grower but is the guy wearing it suffering from recent weight loss?
Best one they had was the one with the St George Cross flash on it and 82 of course.

I’d like to se both those players in the squad. Talk of Eric “Tugboat” Dier and his 70 yard Hollywood passes in to touch makes me nauseous though. We need mobility and pace at the back such as Tomori not a chugging brainless has been.

Euro 96 vibe for the home kit and the collar on the away kit is very similar to the one in 1990.

Home strip has massive training top vibes about it and they'll want about £70+ for it.
Like the away top though.

It looks better on that picture of Kane too. England home kits ( up until WC 2010 ) was always white shirt, blue shorts, white socks Away in general ( bar the odd monstrosity) was always red shirts, white shorts and red socks This all one colour kits thing really pisses me off
