Who’s the DM? Rice can’t do it, who would be getting on the ball and controlling the pace of the game in that midfield? He’s a box to box man and with the way he’s been playing he wouldn’t be in my midfield at the minute He can. He should be at DM or if you think he can’t do that then centre half. Bellingham for the control? One of the best midfielders in the world? No issue with Gallagher as DM with Bellingham and Foden. We have good options. He can’t, it’s why he never plays that role for Arsenal. That’s not Bellinghams game though, that’s what I mean by trying to fit all the best players in the side.

So we don’t have a league programme because of that?

What? Kane looked like an old man tonight and has done for so long for us. He can’t run. Watkins just lacks finesse. His touch is lacking. So that leaves what? Just keep playing either Kane or Watkins. They're fine. If we take this Nations League cycle: Games where Kane or Watkins have started as conventional forwards: P4 W4 G10:1 Games where neither have started and we played false 9. P1 L1 G1:2. In truth Greece could have scored about 6 that night.

But it provides us with the best balance easily. I fucking detest Kane. I don’t like how he plays and think he’s a grade A twat so that’s a pretty easy decision for me. Watkins is difficult but he’s just not good enough to be starting regularly. Palmer, Foden and Bellingham are world class and you have to play them all. The only way is a false 10.

No other country on earth with those 3 talents in their national player pool wouldn’t work and find a way to get them playing together. Spain won trophies galore and didn’t use Torres much as he didn’t benefit the best possible system, even though at the time he was one of the best strikers on the planet. I think Tuchel won’t bottle it and play safe. I think he’ll actually go for it and benefit from the excellent group of players he has to choose from.

And I hope he carries on where Carsley has started. Lewis, Gomes, Jones, Madueke and Gordon all need to carry on being given chances. We’ve got to give some of the young full backs game time too. And hope Branthwaite can get better. And as mad as it seems, Delap is a good 3 months away from being called up to this squad.

I really hope Foden is not considered for future games. We don't need him and he seemingly doesn't need England. 🤣🤣🤣 Foden has played 43 times for England, what has he done in those games? he's been consistently poor for the national team. We have loads of talent.

Blimey, who knew there was an England game tonight?
In other news France 0 - Israel 0 in front of about 10 people.
I suppose who wants to watch your football team when you are committing genocide?

Foden has played 43 times for England, what has he done in those games? he's been consistently poor for the national team. We have loads of talent. Thing is, he's the style of player who is often deemed to disappoint at international level. Similar to Barnes. It isn't just an English phenomenon either. Del Piero and Rivaldo were often considered to be underachievers too. Sebastian Deisler was a particularly sad story. It doesn't mean Phillip is a poor player but cut him slack bearing in mind in internationals different things are required. In the first half v Netherlands he was ace because he was doing what he does for his club. One point is though he's 24 now not a kid anymore. He's an established player who's won loads of medals. So hopefully we can see more of the Netherlands from him soon.
