for me if you want win anything at international level then you need a manager who used to winning things , Carsley isn’t that de la Fuente and Scaloni had never managed before. Bearzot hadn't won anything as a manager.

I want Cole Palmer at the front and center of everything. That's the acid test for me these games. Don't let egos get in the way of anything. Build the team around him. If you'd said a year ago that there'd be genuine shouts that Palmer is the best player in the world, people would have laughed. But...is he? Not yet. For that you'd have to see the Madrid collection first. But Palmer is bloody brilliant. A great talent.

How on earth has Curtis Jones found himself in the squad. Nowhere near good enough and has barely played this season.

Only reason to say no atm is that he hasn’t been doing it for long enough yet, but I don’t think there’s a better player in the world right now.

He made the provisional Euros squad Don’t agree I think he’s a very average player. Only been brought in because Mainoo and Gibbs-Wight have both pulled out and doubt he’ll get any minutes but don’t see how he’s got in. Wharton hasn’t had a good start to the season but he should be getting in every day of the week ahead of Jones because he’s the future, Jones is not.

Heard Jolean Lescott talk about Curtis Jones a few days ago and how highly rated everyone in the England coaching bubble rate him, he was talking about him in the same breath as Cole Palmer for talent.

He’s injury prone for sure but when he had a run in the side last season he looked every bit international class. Whether he should get in ahead of first team regulars is another story

How many on here actually watch England in the nations league and qualifiers. I stopped watching the nations league and rarely watch qualifiers. No interest, every international break I wish there wasn’t a break!

No interest, every international break I wish there wasn’t a break! I enjoy them, try to catch every game if I can. The friendlies are meaningless but at least the Nations League matches have an element of competition to them. It's just a shame we got relegated, in my opinion due to the god awful scheduling of the previous one.

The star power in this XI almost takes you back to the Sven days ... . Imagine if we go long ball straight from the kick off with that team, just launching it into the box for ten minutes to cause unexpected chaos..

Foden has played false 9 for citeh a few times and Gordon has actually played as a CF for Carsley in the under 21s so wouldn't be so sure it's Bellingham as a false 9.. time will tell.
