I think the money they would throw at it would be ludicrous and would bring plenty of players into their sights, all of them saying they were buying into 'the project' and definitely weren't there for the money. Oil rich Saudis are a different proposition to the Coates and the idiot Scholes and I don't think they'd be as deluded in believing the squad was any good. It still wouldn't be the same type of player they'd attract in the Premier League though. Thomas Muller is apparently on their radar. I doubt he'd go from Bayern Munich to the Championship for 'the project.' Would Harry Kane go to Newcastle if Spurs don't qualify for the Champions League and Newcastle are still in the Premier League? There's a small chance. If Newcastle are in the Championship - no chance. Dominic Calvert-Lewin? Premiership, yes. Championship, no. No. They obviously wouldn't get Harry Kane. But they'd still build a championship dream team. They certainly wouldn't look at the shit we bought who definitely weren't dream team. Afobe's record was poor overall, Ince was a chancer and Woods was a busted flush after half a game vs Wednesday. They've got billions and don't want to be overshadowed by the other sportswashing Arab states. As I've said, they aren't going down so it's irrelevant. We can agree to disagree.

They'd probably bring Mitrovic back which would be enough, they wouldn't need Kane in the Championship (and in World Cup year especially, players in that top bracket wouldn't drop to the Championship anyway). They'd certainly be bringing in better than Benik Afobe

You honestly don't see them going down? I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest that they'll stay in the premiership. Useless defence and a striker, who has 1 good game in 8. They've also got a clueless manager, who's run out of ideas. In addition to this, they have a terrible run in.

Weekend: Everton v The Shit Norwich v Burnley Watford v Leeds Add to that the Liverpool City game and it’s such a good weekend of football at both ends of the table. Exciting stuff.

They're going down. Their team is loaded with Championship players or ones that don't give a fuck.
The appointment of Benitez was an absolute joke.

Do they really have one of the worst squads in the league? There was enough for a manager to work with there to be better than they have been under Lampard.

Not enough for Champions League winning managers apparently. The back line is pathetic. Ask Everton fans who is to blame - no one is really saying Lampard. Perhaps a job he should not have taken in hindsight.

They should have enough to stay up. Seems to be a new diving culture at Everton since Lampard came in. Richarlison was always a culprit but has become embarrassing. Similar at Derby with Harry Wilson and Mount etc . Constantly going down to win soft decisions. Last night's pens were as soft as you'll see all season. They were a goal down in injury time at the weekend, 40 seconds to go and Richarlison rolls around trying to get a player sent off when barely time to take the free kick.

Derby were awful for playacting and diving and its interesting that both culprits Mount and Wilson don't seem to do it as much since they moved on from there.

Perhaps a job he should not have taken in hindsight. He's not to blame for the mess they're in but surely he can't avoid it completely for so comprehensively failing to get them out of it? If he'd made an impact he'd sure as shit be getting the credit for it, are we saying he's teflon like his uncle? His managerial career to date is him avoiding any blame for the bad stuff and getting hailed as a king for achieving par.

Quite a bizarre extract from an interview on the radio yesterday.
"Have you spoken to your uncle about any tips of surviving?"
"No, I have a good relationship with Harry but I have Paul Clement with me who did it with Swansea, so we're ok in that department."
Harry Redknapp isn't exactly my cup of tea per se, but I know who I'd be speaking to if I was in that situation...

Lampard has a slightly better win rate % than Benítez at the moment 33% to 31%, but that may change soon.

Do we realy want a team coming down who will most likely take one of the top 2 places?
Don't think Burnley would finish in the top 2.

I think Everton could have an adjustment period Not many at that club with Championship experience Can see them changing manager in the summer and again in November Probably be better in 2023

And some people didn't think he was good enough for us. We’ll see in a few months time, but I’m not convinced a manager with 18 months?? experience is a nailed on success Edit: 2 years 6 months actually I think So far so….not good 😂
