Do we realy want a team coming down who will most likely take one of the top 2 places? Don't think Burnley would finish in the top 2. I think Everton could have an adjustment period Not many at that club with Championship experience Can see them changing manager in the summer and again in November Probably be better in 2023 Perhaps they'll be after our manager saying as he's so highly rated?

Only if they harbour ambitions to be a midtable Championship club

Definitely popcorn out watching the financial bonfire if they go down. Could be one for the ages

And if all their worries aren't bad enough, their city rivals are potentially looking at greatness.
That has to sting

I had a quick look at the fixtures yesterday & think that Everton will just about scrape it… Leeds for the final relegation spot for me.

Everton would lose most of their best (International) players. It would be an absolute car crash. Burnley on the other hand would retain most of their players, bar Pope maybe, and would steamroller the Championship. Plus the comedy value of Everton in the Championship would be priceless.

In terms of stadium size though, they're still not the biggest club to have come down to the Championship - that honour lies with Villa. Villa spent 3 seasons in the Championship, and they didn't have the financial woes facing Everton if they go down. Can see Everton staying down for at least 5 years. If they do go, I reckon Lampard will be sacked either in the summer or at some point in the new season and Dyche will be brought in.

Everton have plenty of sellable assets if they do go down.

Everton have plenty of sellable assets if they do go down. They do, but at the same time the power in any negotiations won’t be with Everton so they’ll get fleeced. They will HAVE to sell to comply with FFP and the players will absolutely want to leave. They’ll be in no position to play poker and try to negotiate the absolute best price.

The Burnley games v Villa the big ones for me. If Burnley can win 2 more games think they'll stay up. 3 wins in 5 games is it after winning 4 all season? Seems they made a great decision in dumping Dyche

It's the mistake we made with our (relatively small number) of saleable assets. We should have cashed in however big the hit was. We could have got 10m for Butland and 5m for Allen. Just imagine what shit Rowett would have spaffed 15m more on?

My guess is that Everton, or Leeds by goal difference, will finish third from bottom. I would also bet on either of them getting promoted at the first attempt.
Personally I'd like to see Everton relegated

Pickford stopped an avalanche of Chelsea goals, they nicked that no doubt about it.

Everton have to play a poor Leicester on current form and Burnley play Villa twice.

Obviously will have the odd change in player staff etc but deteriorating every season and maybe the odd player past their best.

Dewbs is quite a talent mind, I can see him possibly forcing his way into the World Cup reckoning as a left field choice. Really good on the ball, which I suppose helps when you’re a footballer

Watching the Everton fans today reminded me of when we had our Bear Pit. Superb atmospheres. You can see how much it means to them, middle aged men with blood red faces screaming, been there done that so I can relate. We can get it back with a proper concerted effort from the board and team, proved v West Brom and Fulham that when we turn it on and mean business we as fans respond. Lets see how serious they are come end of July eh.

Everton fans certainly have the bit between their teeth ..not least their older lot , very moody right now to visit , started unsurprisingly against Man U … one of the few reasons I wouldn’t want them to come down is they’ll be very moody if they get relegated
Still to close to call between all 3 , but if they’re all still pushing until the end Everton’s Achilles heal is Arsenal away last game suggesting they need to be safe before then , which heaps more pressure on their other games both mathematically and physiologically and why they’re fans aren’t in the mood to take any prisoners or hold back ..
Although still likely to come from Leeds , Burnley or Everton .. if they’re all still pushing then keep an eye on the teams with 40 points .. Southampton , Villa and Brentford ..all 3 need at least one more point , but all 3 especially Southampton have been on the beach for weeks ..and have fixtures either against the bottom 3 ( to either save themselves comfortably or drop themselves into a sleepwalking relegation ) or the type of fixtures you wouldn’t want late on in the season if you suddenly try to go again.
Brentford a club firmly in Everton's cross hairs , and a club with work still to do themselves , unlike Chelsea they need to choose their hotel carefully.
Last day of the season could yet be very dramatic and Skys wet dream
