Here's an example of why I respond strongly to these things mate. Russia films this stuff all the time, like capturing a "French NATO trainer" who apparently speaks French with a funny russian accent. Or videos of "Ukrainians" harassing russian speakers, but they showed a bit of road on video and it was filmed deep in russian controlled territory. They dress actors up in Ukrainian uniforms and have them doing loads of things. Dying, "shooting" prisoners, harassing civilians, pressganging etc. I've probably seen several per week for a couple of years now, so I'm a bit sensitive to the idea of just believing things Russia wants us to. Except the video I posted has been verified as being genuine. I haven’t seen the video but in truth ruSSian troops deserve everything they get and more, I was in Berlin recently and Christ what ruSSia did when entering Berlin during WW2 was insane to say the least and they’re exactly the same to date, hate ruSSia with a passion and wish nothing but harm to all invaders of Ukraine.

Ukraine got through some port defences and sank a small tug boat.
It's something, but wish they got a big ship again.

Bunch of headlines from the past decade. Lots of them were obviously stupid or evil in hindsight.

Emerging news that putin says he is sending warship, nuclear submarine & support ship to visit Havana & Venezuela next week. This is after he announces he will supply countries with missile systems to attack western countries. USA will be watching this closely and if strategic weapons systems are seen supplied to Cuba this will raise the stakes massively.

He's already begged for hundreds of missiles from Iran and North Korea. Forcing him to waste more on some big performance where he installs a few launchers doesn't seem like a big issue unless it helps get trump elected.

Russia put a military base in the middle of Luhansk and Ukraine couldn't hit it because of collateral damage risk. Then they got ATACMS and now it's on fire. Pic. Of course, Russia says it intercepts ATACMS daily so this didn't happen because it couldn't happen. If you believe Russia 😂

There's an incredible new video that I'll just link instead of showing because I can't tell if there's actual gore in it, or if it's just people rolling off a moving vehicle. Be warned, it's here. Seeing tons of ones like this. Russia doesn't have the vehicles they want, so every one is just loaded up with soldiers. In this case a Bradley zoomed past it within a few metres and pattered it with shells. In the videos where the russian vehicle blows up, now they lose 15-25 soldiers each time instead of 8-10 like they used to. I think this is partly how Ukraine can win.

Ukraine did some kind of counterattack on a village Russia took near the border in north Kharkiv.
That's a BTR-4, Ukraine's best home-made vehicle. The damage it's doing is terrifying, and way better than what we see from most videos with russian infantry fighting vehicles.

Wheeled fighting vehicles like that can quickly circle a slower vehicle like a tank, blow up all the reactive armor, then eventually penetrate. I just hope Ukraine can keep stamping them out in numbers.

Apparently minefields are a problem with the wheeled ones, I've seen loads taken out as they try a 3-point turn and hit a mine off to the side. The tracked ones just spin about on the spot. Otherwise they seem good. Fast, cheaper, don't throw tracks etc. There was an amazing video from inside a BTR-4 of it smacking up two russian vehicles in Mariupol. I bet they want loads more!

That I do not know. I do know that it's being praised for its toughness, quickness and adaptability to varying weapons-systems. However, any wheeled vehicle will have an issue with mines, but so do any tracked vehicle running over them. The "mine-proof" vehicles even are subject to having wheels/tires blown off/blown off if they run over a mine. Obviously advanced mine-detection capability is crucial to any mobile unit. As Ukraine is primarily in defense, would think that the mine issue only comes into play when they try to advance.

Ukraine claiming an Su-57. Russia's most advanced warplane and if true, the first documented loss of a 5th generation fighter (to enemy action).
It won't have much of an impact on the war in general as there aren't many of them and they've generally been kept away from the front-lines. It's a loss of prestige for the Russians, though, and given that it was apparently hit near the border with Kazakhstan it's another reminder that Ukraine can bring the war closer to home than they'd like. I don't imagine it'll put Putin off, mind you.

Ukrainian shelling can be seen in loads more videos now.
The situation seems to be easing a bit. According to a really good Ukrainian intel group, Russia still has enough reserves for another major push somewhere, but that's it.
The window republicans opened for Putin is closing...

Mediazona and the BBC got sent some Wagner documents after Prigozhin died. They are records of family compensation payments for deaths. They confirm Wagner lost 20,000 killed in the attacks on Bakhmut. Almost 90% were prisoners. Amazingly Prigozhin was mainly telling the truth about the losses. And the intel people I followed said the same.

Another horrible russian TOS-1 thermobaric missile launcher hit.
They've now lost more than half of the ones they started with. Probably built more though.

Yesterday news reported that Ukrainian jets bombed russia for the first time. Seems they wrecked one of the russian HQs in Belgorod region. I think this is true because satellite imagery shows damage before/after and russian soldiers were posting social media photos showing it was a military base - source.

Russian drone hit a Ukrainian jet at an airbase.
Not the first time, although at least one other was decommissioned.
Bad failure by the Ukrainians to protect their jet. I've got a bad feeling we're gonna see this happen to an F-16 as well.
On the plus side a russian Su-34 crashed in Russia. The crew died

The Ukrainian Navy are reporting a large engine fire aboard a Russian warship in the Barents Sea. If true, this could be a direct consequence of Russia's invasion as, like a lot of Soviet-era mililtary equipment, the engines were constructed in Ukraine and apparently can't be serviced elsewhere.

I know a Ukrainian lad from Mykolaiv who works on boats. Turns out the old russian black sea flagship Moskva was built in Mykolaiv. So many Ukrainian-built arms have been turned on Ukraine. It's tragic. I think every one of the 1,000+ MT-LB armoured carriers they've taken out was first built in Kharkiv.

Interesting how media narratives swing. From the Telegraph: "Further to Washington’s green-lighting of specific strikes on Russian soil, the other key factor is that weapons deliveries from the vital $60 billion aid package passed by Congress in April are now trickling through to the front lines. The situation is still severe, especially in light of low levels of ammunition, but while Ukrainian soldiers were once desperate, it seems that this is slowly changing. A Czech plan to deliver 1.5 million shells from across Europe is also progressing at pace. In short, the critical window of opportunity where Moscow outmanned and outgunned Kyiv has now almost certainly passed, coming at a heavy price for Vladimir Putin politically as we approach November. His aim was to make substantive inroads into Ukraine before America went to the polls, embarrassing Biden and obliging whoever won the White House to force Kyiv into peace talks." Pretty sure this is what I was saying months ago except that I think russia still has a window and the last para on politics isn't quite right. Putin's fucked if Biden and the Dems win, so he's hoping for his republican allies to save him.

ATACMS time !
Ukraine claimed to hit S-300/400 air defence systems Sunday night, russia said they shot down loads of missiles. Satellites show the S-300/400 radars are blown up, maybe other parts too.
Ukraine claims it hit more on Monday, russia says it shot all the missiles down. Wonder who's right.
Sadly russia also hit a Ukrainian S-300 with an Iskandr ballistic missile.
We've seen zero successful russian defences Vs ballistics yet. The Ukrainians have done it with PAC-3 Patriot and I believe the European SAMP-T.
There's a special version of the S-300 which is supposed to stop ballistics, dunno if it works.

Russia digging in inside Ukraine's northern Kharkiv region.
Over a month into their "Kharkiv offensive" and they're digging in to secure fields about 1.5 miles from where they started.
Ukraine didn't build defences that close to the border because it got their soldiers and engineers killed. Russia is choosing to sacrifice a lot of diggers and people to hold on here.
And now Ukraine can shoot into Russia and is doing tons of damage.

Article on Bradley vehicles in Ukraine. Basically sounds like a puff piece, but the Ukrainians love them. Amazing videos and stories of what they've done. They have to use them in unsafe areas because there wasn't enough artillery ammo.

Ukraine's intel chief Budanov says Russia is sending the S-500 air defence system to Crimea.
In 2022 they had one of these systems. It's supposed to be their new super duper one that can stop every type of missile, including ATACMS.
Budanov is smart but he does talk shit sometimes for propaganda, but it'd be amazing if the Ukrainians could whack this one.
