There may be battles with the Treasury ahead but not with the Chancellor. Kwarteng and DizLiz are literally Coitus close! What a time be a rich fucker with this pair of trickle down twats. I’ve been Googling to see if I can work out what I meant. I thought there was some sort of independent body within the Treasury now (a recent thing) that meant all spending had to meet some kind of guideline but I’ve found nothing. The Bank of England have major responsibility for setting monetary policy and the OBR forecasts are usually used for the Political decisions. Truss has already suggested that she wont use the OBR and she will review the Bank's mandate. The rich will be getting their tax cuts regardless of the economic orthodoxy. Discredited trickle down economics is back. The rest of us have to wait like Oliver Twist to see if a couple of drops come our way........Spoiler alert - they wont. |

I’m not sure many do Mr Coke but it’s a bit like when Stoke sign a player with a bad rep. The knives are out before it’s begun and it’s all uphill to convince the naysayer’s. One thing is clear, the wokesters are apoplectic and for me, having zero political allegiance, is very entertaining |

Trickle down never worked the first time. The rich just hoarded their tax savings, mostly offshore until the recession went away. If you give the breaks to the lower income population they have to spend it on food and necessity, only then does it recirculate. Trickle down is a lie to support the narrative of the elite over the majority. |

Recent opinion poll showed only 12% thought she'd make a good PM while 52% thought she'd be poor or terrible.(yougov) I know it's only an opinion poll - so it's a small sample. But then so was the election itself a small sample - and as long as the 76,000 people who did vote for her on behalf of the 69,000,000 of the rest of us thought she was the least worst that's all that matters. |

Their pre stadium rock era is also well worth a revisit (Life in a Day/Sons and Fascination/Reel to Real Cacophony). Don't take themseves too seriously either which is always a bonus. |

I think that it is pretty damning for us as a nation that the (supposedly) best person that we can find to lead us is Liz Truss.
We are heading into a difficult period - the cost of living crisis, rising levels of poverty and inequality, and pertinent challenges across the globe (primarily Russia) - and it will be Truss that will be responsible for guiding us forward ...
More generally, there is an absolute lack of political talent across all the major political parties at the moment.
