Go on the Liz, get them announcements made - save our bacon (she loves a good pork market) or doom us all to an icy grave, just get on with it.

Indeed he did, but back in those days the rich were made to pay 90% income tax to counterbalance the situation. This time, Truss seems to be wanting to take the Attlee route but let the top earners pay less. So guess who will be facing the next 50 years paying off a wartime-like situation? However, I see the only way for us to get through this terrible situation is to make it long-term because if we try to soak it up in one go it will bankrupt both families and industry and may even bring about riots like we saw with the poll tax. OS. Absolutely, the radical change I'm referring to wouldn't be undertaken by either the Tories or Starmer's Labour. But any austerity measures that are undertaken in the near future to "pay of the national debt" should see working class people and those marginalised in society out on the streets as far as I'm concerned, enough is enough........ Isn't there a 'enough is enough' march in Manchester on the 1st October ?

(cheeky winky grinny thingy) Really? It's an achievement to elect someone less charismatic than Starmer, but I think they've managed it! Could she be more boring and, frankly, just plain weird... www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-62795283Bit of buffering going on at 3:50...she even forgot what she was supposed to be "delivering for" oh yes, the country. Understandable mistake!

Thats not something that comes naturally to lots of people? She's PM. I expect that if she's not very good at something, especially something that's part of the job she will improve at it. If she's not able to improve at various skills she is going to drown very quickly. She will be facing challenges that few will have faced and will need to overcome them these at breakneck speed but if she can't improve at something she's now had lots of time to get better at we are screwed, really screwed. That’s desperate.

Liz Truss is not just thick, she’s got no charisma or personality. In fact she’s boring as fuck. Can’t see her lasting at all.
Imagine one of the biggest economies/countries in the world being “led” by a bland amoeba

The next few polls will be interesting. The usual rinse and repeat new leader bounce? Not sure.
If she does instigate a Labour energy price freeze, it'll be interesting to see how much credit she gets from doing so. It's an obvious lift, but people will probably not care.

getting booed quicker than a new Stoke manager And not for anything that she's done but what she's associated with which is surely why she'll stick it out for the two years before calling a general election. I know that there is a section of society that still love Boris but is there is also a section willing to boo Truss for her associations with him.

Not sure she'll even get the chance mate ...
"Twelve Conservative MPs disgruntled with the candidates for the party leadership are planning to submit letters of no confidence in the Liz Truss as early as this week."

"Twelve Conservative MPs disgruntled with the candidates for the party leadership are planning to submit letters of no confidence in the Liz Truss as early as this week." Bizarrely BoJo seems to be treated as some sort of demi-god by a sizeable chunk of the party. 'Delivering Brexit' has given him unlimited credit and a blind eye is given to his many flaws. As things stand I think a hung parliament is the most likely result at the next election. Bringing back BoJo would result in a 1997 style annhilation.

And ignoring that only 12% of Britons expect Truss to be a good or great leader, while 52% expect her to be poor or terrible according to a recent yougov poll.
