So all Politicians are Bastards but the Tory ones are better than Labour ones so let's not change anything and in any case it's all the "Wokies" fault That's the takeaway from reading the last few pages.
In 2017 the Oxford English Dictionary added "Woke" as an adjective even though it had been in use in many societies since 19th Century meaning to be "awake" (vigilent of social issues)
The OED Definition is:
woke, adjective: Originally: well-informed, up-to-date. Now chiefly: alert to racial or social discrimination and injustice; frequently in stay woke.

Of course the Right has appropriated the word Woke (ironic when you consider the derivation) and use it as a pejorative term thus avoiding the inconvenience of actually debating issues.

PC > Snowflake > Woke > ? It will be on a t-shirt soon.

She is so far below the level of competence that is required to be the leader of our country (or indeed any other first world nation) it's frightening.
Even a complete oaf like Johnson, understands the importancy of basic diplomacy ...

My guess is it'll be around the "sinister green agenda" (copyright scfcbiancorossi) so something like NetZerotards, NetZeroes, NetZombies, Carbon clowns? I'm sure someone can do better than that, but it'll be here soon enough and the same folk will lap it up once again.

Nevertheless it does appeal to the 'no-one likes us, we don't care' constituency which - unfortunately - is not insignificant.

Crikey, how far we have fallen that we’re even willing to suggest that Boris’s approach to basic diplomacy is going to be better than the next one - you’d have been laughed at for saying that 6 months ago but yet somehow this is now where we’re at…

I mean the current one can't even tuck in his own shirt or comb his hair. Should Dim Lizzy manage to secure a further term (not as unlikely as some may think) be pleasantly surprised if the next PM but one can actually speak or stand.

He was widely acknowledged as an awful Foreign Secretary, a position that most people seem to forget he held, since he's been doing such a grand job of leading the free world in support of Ukraine. Meanwhile, I see Truss has jibbed out of another interview. That's two so far, Andrew Neil and now Nick Robinson. If she's trying the "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt" approach, it's too late for that!

I'm beginning to get seriously worried that if Nutter Truss gets to be prime minister that this country will implode. Not only is she useless, she's got a screw loose. Gawd help us. OS.

And her husband, the one who stayed with her after the Mark Field infidelity, is a ‘tax accountant’. He shows very rich people how to, totally legally, avoid paying tax. Do not expect a MissTrust administration to close tax avoidance loop holes.

The way Truss laughs freaks me out. She kind of silently opens her mouth for a prolonged period of time after the initial laugh and it's just weird and awkward...she's nuts.

No one could be a worse Prime Minister than Johnson other than MissTrust. It does show what a totally useless pillock Johnson is that he cannot hold the record of being the worst Prime Minister ever until the person who takes over from him. That. Is. A. Disgrace.

I would imagine that the government shambles thread would be the ideal place for comments once Truss takes over.
