ok great we have got lgbtq+ in before a ball is kicked, although I ask what the plus is for! can anyone confirm if it refers to minor attracted person? At some point we have got to get in climate change and carbon neutral and western colonial oppression! The hypocrisy over there is stark as no doubt there'll be bevvy, blow jobs and bumming in upper-class society to soften the blow of their team apparently being a bit shit. The hypocrisy in the World Cup going there then participants moaning about their homophobia whilst participating anyway is laughable in its ridiculousness. Although we're obviously more progressed we still need to get our own shit sorted before lecturing others for me though - conflating the QT+ with the LBG is in itself seems potentially homophobic. I've read the Q definition over a few times and I think pretty much anyone could call themselves queer - I could shag my wife tonight and if she identifies as a two-spirit Red Indian we're in! I think if I put cat ears on, shit in the neighbours garden and tried lick my own arse afterwards it would cement our position further. Under T we've had the Cass Report where a massively disproportionate number of kids with homosexual tendencies were being affirmed, medicated and operated on unsafely to the point staff darkly joked there'd be no gay kids left at this rate - that seems massively homophobic to me. How it isn't a scandal of massive proportion melts my mind. Under + you can have blokes who get off shitting in nappies with a rusk in their mouth, furries who meows at each other, folk who want open relationships etc. If we're putting sexual fetishism on equal platforms to gay and lesbians then that again seems homophobic. Superb as always👏🏻😀

You’re right. I guess the issue though is in relation to what there religion says is a natural life. Should we be respectful of that? I’d say yes we should as we certainly are in the U.k. on the whole. I certainly don’t agree with there strict beliefs and they are morally wrong but UEFA knew this when they awarded Qatar the world cup. Western society is very much more understanding of change where’s the Middle East clearly isn’t. This should have been nipped in the bud early on by Qatar not getting it. Now it’s here these issues you would have thought would be known before we flew out. I’d either fly home now or just get on with it. No middle ground The issues have to be highlighted. Putting your head in the sand just placates them. And that emboldens them. Then surely the answer is to not go at all rather than come up with a few patches, taking the knee or have some commentators complaining to the watching viewer. Surely the best and most effective stance they could make would take a stand and boycott it if they feel so strongly or in the case of commentators to give their earnings to charity. It all strikes me as being hypocritical. As I said you go big and don’t go or you just play and make the most of it. Every country at the World cup had the opportunity to take a moralistic stand and none did. Now they’re over there surely it can’t be such a big shock to them re the bans from the Qataris

Good God both have been outspoken about the shit show that is our government for years. Hence why the EE board regulars aren’t fans 😂 And who hasn’t slated Qatar since it was announced? Well I certainly haven't heard them daily going on about it say two years ago. Last few months I have. Two years ago, or even six months ago all Neville and lineker were banging on about was Boris or something. Please send me a link to lineker and Neville daily tweeting about the world cup, say, around January 2019 as a date plucked out of nowhere You’re just moving the goalposts now. They’ve been going on about it for some time amongst lots of other issues. It’s why they piss people like you off!

The risk of slating Qatar in Qatar? There’s a massive risk. What like you think they might get their hands chopped off or something? They’re very safe in the BBC bubble I don’t think they’re safe at all. It was a risky and brave thing to do.

You’re getting your countries mixed up 😂🤦♂️ And they should have boycotted it. And it should never have been given to them. Absolutely. Now it has though and they haven’t boycotted they seem to causing enough of a stir to piss FIFA, Qatari’s and middle aged Englishmen off. So that seems a good job to me.

Gianni Infantino held a speech before the start of the World Cup 2022 tournament, where he said he felt like a qatarian, like a gay person, like a disabled, like a migrant worker and so on.
The media here, tv and papers, reacted a bit odd to say the least. They said he'd lost contact with reality. They may think so if they like but what surprises me the most is they didn't understood what he meant.

Are we talking 6 months ago? Four? Three? When did they start really getting deep in there? Which proves my point about it being guilt that gets them bringing it up lately. To time it with when they fly out first class to a 5 star hotel. What pisses me off is talking about all this bollocks and demanding changes in another country instead of talking about the footy. Like I said, I'll be following closely on the BBC, itv, lineker and Neville and co on their daily briefings let's say, 2 months after the world cup has ended and they're back at anfield for super Sunday

The football is irrelevant. This World Cup is a sham.
