Brazil is my go to at the minute and Greece are throwing them out but I keep getting pipped by ze Germans for them. Sold a wonderkid Brazilian to Bayern for 40mil and just got him back 12months later for £20mil luvverley jubbeley. Don't you find the Brazilian's (And Argentinian's for that matter) are a tad on the expensive side? I prefer to go hunting in Colombia, Uruguay & Chile where you can find just as good players for a fraction of the price. Occasionally however the min fee release clauses and then the amount their value increases immediately has always paid back tenfold. The clubs balance at the start of the season was £8mil due to thee new stadium. I sold three reserve Brazilians brought for a combined £15mil and now have £108mil in the bank four more Brazilians brought for 25mil and left on loan at their original clubs and a week left in the transfer window. Colombians have been a good buy for me like you say pretty cheap but the other SA nations not so much

Atalanta update, we did the league & cup double (Going unbeaten in the league!) My young right wing assist machine broke the league record for assists (24) with my 6'5" centre half getting on the end of most of them to score 16 goals! It was our first season in our new stadium (Old ground was 22,000 new stadium was 30,000) But after just a single season there we're on the move again as the board want to expand the stadium to 45,000. So while this takes place we'll be spending next season playing our home games at the San Siro!
Don't know what to do with my squad for next season, a few of them (Including the previously mentioned right winger & centre half) will be 23 next season, that makes them basically dinosaurs who I'd usually move on & bring through the next batch of youngsters, I'm really tempted to keep them around though. The new stadium upgrades are giving me more room on the wage budget and we've got something like 6 or 7 hundred million in the bank anyway, might say fuck it & chuck 'em both bumper contracts & keep 'em around for a few more years.

OK.
Im in.
Started anew at the new Gay Meadow..or whatever they are calling it.
Smallish, young squad. Tried to get a few in on loan and wanted a center back. Got this guy called Saul Shotton from West Brom. Turns out he’s from Hanley and went to Brom from Hanley Town. So, now, every manager report says I paid to much to get him in. I’ve been easing him in and he’s doing great. Now want to promote a couple of my reserves to the big squad.
Huddersfield just sacked their manager and MON is listed at 10-3 for the job. Question (I’ve got loads) If your doing well somewhere will other clubs come calling for you or can you only generate your own moves?
Got to say. Absolutely loving this. Now cursing I didn’t try this 5 years ago so I would be 5 years better.

Go with a loyalty one now see if you can keep them around for their career. I've took your advice & have decided to keep a few of them around so I've now got my first squad member earning over £100k p/w, and about half-a-dozen others earning north of £80k (Who once they meet certain targets will also pass £100k). The problem is my big centre half, he's 'only' on £35k p/w, he came knocking on my door wanting a new contract, I was expecting him to ask for £80k, I was hoping to get him for around £70k, and I was prepaired to 'break the bank' for him with a £120k offer if things went that way... He wanted £210k... £210k!!! I offered him £100k off the bat, rejected... £120k, rejected... £150k, rejected & talks ended... I've somehow managed to convince him to sack his agent so for now he's dropped all talks & is happy to carry on with his £35k. All the big clubs are sniffing though (Thankfully the summer window has just closed) so I know that between now & January I've going have to get them mega bucks out to keep him. I've also had to ship out a bunch of the guys at 20/21 age range who were ready to become their replacements in a usual season, so I've now got this odd gap in my squad where I've got a handful of the 'older' guys (Proper old codgers at 23!) and then a bunch of 17/18/19 year olds as their back-ups. Question (I’ve got loads) If your doing well somewhere will other clubs come calling for you or can you only generate your own moves? Yeah clubs will come in for you, I took great delight in telling Milan to piss off when they wanted me to take over after I finished above them in the league. I'd be careful applying for other jobs though as you will end up pissing off your board & getting the boot, only go for something when you're pretty sure you'll actually get it. As for other questions, ask away...

Used to hate the original championship manager 92/93 where if it said your player was moving abroad there was no stopping them. I managed it once I dropped them for the entire season and the interest disappeared

This is wild.
I guess the listening device knows I’m a Stoke fan.
In this game incarnation MON was already a candidate for Udders to come in for. Now he has been sacked.
Fave is Mark Warburton. Appleton and Hughton in the mix.
Dean Holden is in temporary charge.
11/2 Warbs 7-1Appleton/Hughton

Other than international management no one’s tried poach me for two seasons. Milan came in for me after my first season back at Stoke, and Italy have approached me twice one during my reign as Spain manger and once with England. I have been linked with the Bayern job but they have never approached. To be honest I’ve done a tour don’t think I will leave now, I may ditch England after the next World Cup and try win the next one with an African nation. There are some cracking Nigerian players so might rise the super eagles to the top.

I've recently fallen back into it and am in March with Stoke, first season. Does anyone else notice any other tricks with tactics? Last night for example, I had a six-pointer for 2nd place with Bournemouth away from home. Got battered first half and went in 1-0 down. I remembered from previous years how a 4-2-4 would always trump a 4-3-3 (which Bournemouth were playing). Sawyers Thompson Kayky Campbell Delap Sima They couldn't get near me second half and won 1-2

What a load of bollocks!!! The Goal 50 top players in the world has just been announced on my save. I’ve only got one player in it!!!! Despite at least 5 of my players having stats not just comparable with the players on there, they are blitzing them like panzers in 1940! Haaland wins it and I will concede he’s had a belter of a season and deserves number one. But the rest is just jackanory, I’m that mad I’ve turned it off in protest. I’m probably going throw a water bottle now and storm out the house.

Similar thing with the wonderkids list, the ones who're actually already ace at a young age & are already in my first team get no mention, but the ones who're not good enough for my first team so are out on loan somewhere take up about 40% of the top 50 list.

And a Portuguese lad I signed for his £30mil realease at 18 after half a season left at Benfica is now valued at £125mil. There is the potential that he never play for me as I may just sell him at the end of the season.

After a 13 year career I’ve topped the world hall of fame. The team is full of 4-5 star players and pretty much unbeatable now. Won the last 3 club world cups, 7 champions leagues including the last 5 and 7 premier leagues including the last 6. Guardiola has just resigned as England boss so I’m going to finish my career there though it might not be that enjoyable with all the fake players.
The stadium maxed out at 57983 and the board wouldn’t build a new one. Hopefully they do soon and name it after me haha.

Hoping for a legacy more Cesare Maldini and Paulo Maldini than big Tony and little Ant

D'yer know what I hate? When you've got a decent young kid who you've been giving plenty of game time to, he's valued at around £35-£40m, Bayern come in for him with an offer of £7m, and he says he's going to kick off if he's not allowed to leave 'cos Bayern have such an ace squad.
Speaking of ace squads, we won the league, cup & Champions League last season. Very nearly went unbeaten in the league for the second year in-a-row but just too many games caught up with us in the end... Which brings me to another annoyance. Once the league was in the bag & we'd lost the unbeaten record I decided to play the back-up lads in the final 4 or 5 league games, I did this to one give them plenty of minutes, and two to help rest my first team so that they'd be fully fit for the cup final & Champions League final. This caused three of my major players to start kicking off about 'lack of game time'. Why the fuck are they moaning that I'm leaving them out of a dead rubber away game at Benevento so that they can be fully fit for the Champions League final against Barcelona?!?!
Anyroad, back in our own stadium again now with it's new 45,000 capacity. Already beaten Ajax to win the European Super Cup, we've also got an invite to the World Club Championship (Whenever that is?!) Trying to keep some of my players around for longer than usual has seen the wage bill balloon to over £1.8m p/w, already got two players on over £200k p/w, and I'm pretty sure I'll have atleast three more joining them before the season is out. Still, we've got over £800m in the bank so there's no need to worry yet.

Oh no what happens then is the week before deadline day I lose four first team to long time injury and I’ve loaned out with no recall my new signings. So now I’m £1mill in the red for the first time as the payments for the stadium are a bit of a crippler

So Matty and TDC, I was told I could ask questions so….
When I started my Shrewsbury save I had very little idea what I was doing. Long story short I surmise a loan deal means we’re losing money. My thing is, the board don’t really seem to care. If they are not bothered should I be?
I’m getting solid B’s in the meetings. In and around the playoffs. Forgot to pay attention to cup games when I should have rotated (doh)

As for some of the rating I ignore them I got a B rating for signing Lucca, as they thought he was expensive for his age, same with ward prowse. That season he had scored 50 goals and Prowse had 40 assists, following season it was 75 goals and 47 assists that to me is value for money

As Mattador said get yourself out there as a feeder club. With you being at Shrewsbury it's unlikely you'll get a Liverpool or Chelsea wanting you but you could well end up with an Everton or Southampton, they both have good youth recruitment so should have plenty of decent youngsters to choose from, and with you being their feeder club they'll be more open to loaning players to you, you wont have to pay anything for them either.
I do this with Atalanta but the other way around, when I first took on the job the 'youth intake' you get each year from your academy would be filled with Italian's from the local area. Every few months I'll make a board request to find ourselves a foreign club with good youth recruitment, so we've now got feeder clubs in Portugal, Belgium, Croatia, Sweden, Ireland, Israel, South Africa, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Australia & South Korea, so my 'youth intake' nowadays is filled with youngsters from all over the world.

Go to one of the smaller South American nations (Like Colombia, Chile, Peru or Uruguay) as I'm sure they all have mad rules where foreign signings are serverly limited & you have to give loads of game time to home grown youngsters.

As an update for the top 50 players rant I had. Lucca has won the balon dor but not ranked in the top 50 🤷♂️. And my Serbian wonderkid was the golden boy it now means for the last 5 seasons it’s been a Stoke player. Makes no sense at times. I've taken a look at the history of a few of my old players, I'm sure it's all about what club you're at rather than how well you actually do. Ex-striker one. Atalanta - P 23, G 16, AvR 7.39, Top 50 No. Atalanta - P 28, G 17, AvR 7.29, Top 50 No. Atalanta - P 18, G 20, AvR 7.84, Top 50 No. Chelsea - P 38, G 15, AvR 7.12, Top 50 Yes. Chelsea - P 38, G 14, AvR 7.29, Top 50 Yes. Chelsea - P 34, G 09, AvR 7.25, Top 50 Yes. Ex-striker two. Atalanta - P 33, G 24, AvR 7.60, Top 50 No. Atalanta - P 32, G 32, AvR 7.71, Top 50 No. Liverpool - P 34, G 16, AvR 7.32, Top 50 Yes. Liverpool - P 32, G 09, AvR 7.30, Top 50 Yes. Ex-striker three. Atalanta - P 33, G 30, AvR 7.45, Top 50 No. Liverpool - P 21, G 14, AvR 7.25, Top 50 Yes. And let me guess with those averages and stats potential balon dor winners?

Ok won world club championship on penalties against Bayern to satisfy new board. And that’s when the fun began I’ve move out my first choice keeper, two forwards with potential. Half my reserves and my new first choice right back. Why you ask? Wages the greedy bastards and contracts, my star midfielder asked for a new contract he’s basically the new Kaka so I upped him to 250k a week after a lot of negotiations and him rejecting contracts twice. So I was ruthless I traded Wirtz to Juve for Bellingham and promoted the youth and signed their youth replacements. Campbell has returned as I needed up the HG quota until next season. My columbian star who was my first signing when I returned has asked to leave so I’m letting him go. My wage budget has now gone down two seasons in a row so that’s going well as I need to offset the loans for the stadium. I cancelled one of the boards transfers as it was £100mill for a player who had scored 3 goals for spurs that season so he was a no, the other I let through as he’s a quality midfielder I personally wouldn’t have bid that much but as it’s not from my budget I will take him.
