As much as I'd love to see it, I simply can't see this test in Dharamsala going ahead this week. It's still very cold and too early in the year to play cricket at that altitude. Thursdays forecast is 1 degrees and sleet. By Sunday it's up to a balmy 7 degrees! We don't even play in this country when it's that cold! The Aussies were scheduled to play a test there on their last tour too, but it was moved to Indore a couple of weeks beforehand. Think it's a bit late to do the same now! I cant imagine there will be any play Thursday but the following days look ok, but still chilly.

Stokes is a cricketing genius but there are times he needs to be more responsible.

England have turned the batting collapse into an art form. I think this test may be lost already.

England have turned the batting collapse into an art form. I think this test may be lost already. There has to be a time when they think it’s not working and start batting properly again. They don’t have to be Tavaresq. Play the shots when they’re but don’t be reckless.

India could be 150/0 by close of play and the game could already be pretty much over.
Hopefully Jimmy can get the 2 wickets he needs to get to 700 but it looks like we're already on the plane home here............

The game is gone, it's all about Jimmy's 700th wicket now.
Travelling to work this morning, had to listen to the Talk Sport commentary, you would think Mark Wood was ripping through India the way they were waxing lyrical about his pace and value to the team. He was getting hit around the park at about 8 an over at the time!

I can't ever remember such a positive media reaction to a 4-1 series thrashing in my life. Sure, we've had the odd good moment but we've been shit for long periods of the series against a fairly average India side who are without their star man. The future of the team is a huge concern too. Aside from Crawley (who is hit and miss), what is the future?

I agree they're talking positively but the facts are this was a weakened Indian team and in all the big moments we've been found wanting. Stokes himself is a worry, he clearly can't bowl regularly going forward which changes the whole dynamic of the team. Pope hit a magnificent 196 but has been awful pretty much every other innings, too many 20/30's from Duckett, Bairstow needs to retire from red ball cricket, Jimmy needs to step aside in my opinion and Wood like Bairstow should stick to white ball cricket going forward. The summer tests should be a formality in theory but we need to start blooding the next generation of players particularly on the bowling front. Tongue, Potts, Carse and Atkinson need game time to see if they can cut it long term.........

700th wicket for Jimmy Anderson. An achievement that will never ever be matched by a seam bowler. Surely a knighthood can't be far away.

Anyone up for Fantasy County Championship Cricket? join.thecricketdraft.com/m/homeIt's a lot more time consuming than the World Cup one so might not be for everyone, but if we can get maybe 10 players I'll happily set the league up, it goes live on April 5th.......

Local cricket looks like it could be delayed for a while you'd think. Our local cricket club is still pretty flooded and it's one of the better ones for drainage. No sign of the wet weather relenting either. I'm sure it's rained since the moment the season finished in September.

No sign of the wet weather relenting either. I'm sure it's rained since the moment the season finished in September. The weather has been horrendous. Our junior football leagues are all massively behind and they're talking about extending the season which will have implications as we have a number of lads who do both. Feels like it's been raining non-stop for about 6 months.....

I'm guessing a non-starter for the Fantasy League with only 3 takers so far?

If you are setting up a league then I will take part but as you say we probably need 8-10 to make it worthwhile.
