You know how India are going to bowl to Crawley if they get a full over at him.
First 5 balls straight at the stumps or 4th stump.
Final ball full and wide looking for Crawley to drive.

Lees century incoming....... He won’t be scoring many centuries at this level if he can’t keep out a straight ball.

No balls..
Why should the bowler who fucked up get another free go..
If you bowl a no ball you lose that ball but still add a run.
There's probably a good reason why that hasn't been introduced as really can hit the follow up ball for 6 etc but where else in sport can you fuck up and get another go.

They should adopt the white ball “free hit” rule in red ball cricket.

Going to nail my colours to the mast here and say we’re going to get a right thumping this match.
It was always going to happen at some point playing this brand of cricket and hopefully it will result in a bit of re-thinking around certain parts of our tactics.

It's the re-thinking bit that concerns me. When the Coach comes out and says 'we don't fear big totals anymore' you have to wonder how much thought is going in to prevent them being set big totals in the first place?...... especially after watching this morning!

Yeah I don’t like that we’ve decided that we’re just going to bowl first every game now, especially when we’re conceding such big first innings totals. If you concede over 400 runs in the first innings your going to lose a lot more games than you win. Innings like we’ve seen recently from Bairstow can’t be done every game.

Keeping Crawley in the side is going to destroy his career if they’re not careful.
He’s clearly shot and needs taking out of the firing line.

Like I said, it’s like a gambler who bets on red and even on roulette and when it comes up two or three times thinks he’s hit on a winning formula. Aggressive does not mean dumb.

So, who replaces Crawley? His opening partner at Kent.

Our red ball revolution still has much of the hallmarks of what has gone before…
A bowling attack that struggles with the tail and a top three that has less permanence than snow on a dyke.
The shots of Lees, Crawley and Pope were as miserable as they were familiar. That is to say, very.
What price another miracle?

Nothing says fearless cricket like sending a night watchman in with 25 minutes to go.

Nothing says fearless cricket like sending a night watchman in with 25 minutes to go. Poor decision that. Best case scenario we're down at the very start of day 3. I could see some substance in Broad going in as he's capable of getting a score but I just dont see the point of Jack going in as he's unlikely to score any runs even if stays in for a bit.

Another poor shot, another wicket. 78-4 We are in big trouble. We have come up against a much better side than New Zealand are at the moment. I know New Zealand have had a good run but they looked like a team that needs a revamp (not another reset please!) Or maybe just poor selection and bad luck with illness contributed.
