John Coates looking particularly smug scruffy in that photo with Emre. Fixed that.

He was at the Leeds training ground at the weekend. I think and this is a guess we made a massive push last night. I've been at Clayton Woods twice this week, doesn't mean I'm signing a pro contract though does it? Are you any good in goal?

Amazing news and well done to the club. Apologies for believing the “ITKs” and getting all monkey-brained and reactive and attacking our club.
More than anything this shows that, despite whatever disappointments and issues over the last half decade or so, there’s a lot of positive work going on behind the scenes that most of us can only speculate at. For many of us our only means of gauging the health of the club is via 1st team performances on the pitch, and so it’s easy to not realise that the club is far more layered and complex than what we see at 3pm on Saturday afternoons.
Tezgel and his family making this decision says a lot and the club (and the player himself) deserve a lot of praise.

I'm so made up. This is a massive boost for the club. No hyperbole meant but this in my view is the most exciting prospect Stoke have ever had on their books as a teenager bar one. Agree, it still makes me sad that goodfellow never lived up to his potential.

Great news as he seems very highly rated though other than a brief sub appearance i’ve never seen him play.
Has any one seen him play games? What’s his style of play? Is he a poacher or is he a Rooney type?

Is he a poacher or is he a Rooney type? Not seen alot of him but he's a very "modern" striker, Not afraid to come out of the box to start the move he then finishes himself later on if that makes sense. Gareth Owen our youth coach describes him in the frame of Harry Kane (we can only hope). There are some quite good videos on YouTube from what I'm assuming are Turkish accounts where they have footage from some of his youth games

The way he runs and moves he reminds me of ex Leeds and England player Allan Clarke!
If he can't sign until he's 17 has he actually signed? I'm sure Gods will want clarification, he worries a lot! 😳🤔

Is he a poacher or is he a Rooney type? From the clips and statements from people like Gareth Owen, he just seems a really balanced player, who can do a bit of everything. Not especially rapid, but got some quality and a great finisher. Exciting to think what he could be when he fills out a bit.

This is great news. So far it's been a summer of shipping out one overpaid dinosaur, securing the future of a promising youngster and bringing in one or two "living within your means" pacey new young signings. You can't argue with that.

For a right footed player (according to transfermarkt) he seems to score plenty with his left foot as well. Would be nice to think that, if he progresses as we hope and if Campbell gets back to his pre injury form, we might soon have a pair of two footed strikers in our front line. I always think that a striker who is good with both feet has a great advantage - to have two of them in the starting eleven would be tasty. Well done to the manager and the Academy staff for persuading Emre and his family that his immediate future is best spent at Stoke. I do think that the rules are far too weighted in favour of the Premier League clubs when it comes to developing youngsters, so to see Stoke bucking the trend is very welcome.

I can't hide my absolute disdain & utter contempt for dirty Leeds and therefore my opinion is always likely to be biased. However, I'm not convinced that their 'infrastructure' is miles better than ours. Based on what? They are in the Premier League...for now. Hilariously, they stayed up by the skin of their teeth in year 2 in the Prem. Sold their best two players in Philips & Raphina and that is not a recipe for success. The Leeds owners haven't got particularly deep pockets unlike Bet365 and could be favourites for relegation - fingers well & truly crossed!!! Bigger club, bigger history, bigger stadium, sell out every single away game, training ground one of the best in country. There's a Leeds fan on the forum.........by the way the training ground is ok but certainly not one of the best in the country. Anyway, Emre is a Stokie, Stoke are going up & Leeds are coming down!

Gives us assurance ( money ) and makes sense.
Haven't seen him play but always cautious ( not negative) with youngsters . Recall Wayne Harrison at Liverpool decades ago as best thing since sliced bread.
Good luck to the lad and good news for the club

I'm sure Gods will want clarification, he worries a lot! 😳🤔 He has signed a scholarship 16-18 which in theory can't be ended unless by mutual consent. Should also mean other clubs can't offer him anything. The Scholarship gets "reviewed" at 17 where presumably there will be a contract him and his family are already happy with waiting to be signed

He looks an excellent prospect. He's comfortable on the ball, doesn't panic in front of goal, is full of confidence, and finishes off moves as good as many top professionals 10 years older. A great move Stoke, and good luck to the young man.
