Just what I was thinking. Deluded or what. Theyโve only just got their stadium back FFS ๐๐ It seems quite a proportion of Coventry fans are a bit broken and retarded. I always remember the HYS on the BBC when they knocked us out of the FA cup when we were 3 divisions apart. The top rated comment was something like "The only shock is that it's a shock. Coventry is much bigger club from a much bigger city than stoke". I wouldn't have minded so much but it seemed every cunt reading had upvoted even though it's nonsense. On the football side of things the difference is very much of a muchness. Historical attendances of both clubs at their peak are very similar, we're both middling sized provincial clubs with meh attendances and 1 major trophy apiece. If you were going to make an argument based on seasons in the top flight, historical significance of the club, attendances, etc etc, then Stoke City would take it and I'm not sure it would be close. Coventry was a nothing club for close to a century of Stoke City's existence. And then "much larger city" Coventry & Bedworth urban area = 386k, Stoke-On-Trent urban area = 384k. Ye OK "much larger city" fucking genius. I think they're just a puddled set of supporters with strange delusions about their own place in the pecking order. Even at their peak they were rarely anything but a top flight also ran that won the fa cup once. The way these gimps speak it's as if they're a Man Utd that's fallen on hard times. edit: I just read the thread and there wasn't that much unreasonable to be fair, still, any opportunity to totally deride an entire group of people based on some braindead comments from a minority and I'm game as fuck I had a conversation about football with a Coventry fan once, it was one of the worst things that's ever happened to me.

I thought he was excellent and reminded me of Larus Sigurdsson in some ways a brilliant start for him ๐

Won almost everything in the air. Very comfortable on the ball. Early signs are good.

Won everything in the air, very comfortable on the ball. Was blowing out of his arse the last twenty minutes or so resulting in a few sloppy passes but overall it was a very encouraging debut.
Reminded me of Shtaniuk the way he dominated in the air.

He looked quite short or was that just because he was next to Souttar? Either way, he looks absolutely quality.

Loved to drive forward with the ball. Seems to have the build of a fullback.
Very impressed with the lad and suspect thereโs more to be seen yet.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/stoke-city-fleetwood-live-stream-5768169What will Leo Ostigard bring to Stoke City?MON: I think you saw straight away there was a fantastic athleticism to his play. He competed for nearly everything in the air on that side. He was also positive in the way he stepped in to the game, which is really important when you play three at the back. You need your right-sided centre-back to be brave, step into the game and use the ball well. I thought he did that very well. He tired a little bit in the last 10 minutes which is natural because he only arrived yesterday. We've got to be patient with him. We identified him at the end of last season that he was a player we'd like to do if possible. He'll take a little bit more time in terms of getting minutes but it was an excellent debut.

Really good debut. Solid, won almost everything he went up for. Carries and moves the ball forward quickly. I think that was one of our problems last season, we never seemed to move/carry the ball out quickly from the back. He will be massive for us this season.

Where does this leave Wilmot.. can imagine Leo will be first choice right sided centre back in a week or 2 when fully fit

To be honest, we have potentially the best back three in the League. I know it's early days but they all complement each other well. The only pity is that one of them isn't left footed. I can't see why we would look to start with Batth or Chester.

One of my favourite defenders shtaniuk,I can remember him being asked about how cold it was one midweek game in the winter he said yes it is but it is at home when its minus 30 the kids don't go school.

About time we had a big horrible scary looking bastard at the back again. This! I quite liked being the "bad boys",I feel we've become too much of a soft touch, I want players and managers to once again dread coming to Stoke,is it too much to ask for to see grown men cry? Time to reform the Rugby team (with just a nice sprinkling of flair). Welcome to Stoke, now fetch! They dont like it up em.
