Is he the first Leo to play for us? That’s surely worth a place in the record books. Definitely had a couple of capricorns His Sun sign's Sagittarius. He is a Leo Moon though Attachment Deleted

‘Kinell, they’re a precious lot. They also seem to think it’s still the 80’s, when Coventry were decent. Just what I was thinking. Deluded or what. They’ve only just got their stadium back FFS 😂😂

Seems an ambitious lad, looks like he isn’t bothered sitting around and waiting for chances at Brighton which is promising. Also nice to beat off competition from others and wind up a few.
Seven first team centre backs (including Fox) seems a tad excessive, even when playing 3 at the back. Does make you wonder.

Looks hard as nails, confident and I get the feeling he’s going to be a great addition.
The window is shaping up nicely. In fact it may well prove to be our best window for a long, long time. I’m getting that tingle again!

Me too Robrigo, get a midfielder who can actually tackle and it will be complete, get Delap as well and it will be orgasmic👍

Kin 'ell, one season in the championship, and back at their own ground for another season, and they think they're in the premier league elite!!!

I would not describe Fox as a centre back. That leaves Souttar, Wilmot and Ostigard to play with Batth and Chester as backup.

We still need a RWB, very worrying some people aren't bothered by that. I agree and it is a bit odd to bring in another CB which is the position we seem to be best stocked with already. However bringing in Ostigard makes no difference at all to our ability to bring in a RWB - he cost nothing and we've got another 4 loan slots left. The club have to bring in players as and when - they can't afford to do things in strict priority order even if we do need a RWB more than another CB.

They’ve only just got their stadium back FFS 😂😂 It seems quite a proportion of Coventry fans are a bit broken and retarded. I always remember the HYS on the BBC when they knocked us out of the FA cup when we were 3 divisions apart. The top rated comment was something like "The only shock is that it's a shock. Coventry is much bigger club from a much bigger city than stoke". I wouldn't have minded so much but it seemed every cunt reading had upvoted even though it's nonsense. On the football side of things the difference is very much of a muchness. Historical attendances of both clubs at their peak are very similar, we're both middling sized provincial clubs with meh attendances and 1 major trophy apiece. If you were going to make an argument based on seasons in the top flight, historical significance of the club, attendances, etc etc, then Stoke City would take it and I'm not sure it would be close. Coventry was a nothing club for close to a century of Stoke City's existence. And then "much larger city" Coventry & Bedworth urban area = 386k, Stoke-On-Trent urban area = 384k. Ye OK "much larger city" fucking genius. I think they're just a puddled set of supporters with strange delusions about their own place in the pecking order. Even at their peak they were rarely anything but a top flight also ran that won the fa cup once. The way these gimps speak it's as if they're a Man Utd that's fallen on hard times. edit: I just read the thread and there wasn't that much unreasonable to be fair, still, any opportunity to totally deride an entire group of people based on some braindead comments from a minority and I'm game as fuck

Yeah, I'm probably biased but I don't think it's particularly close and they're the one reasonably-sized Midlands club that we're unarguably bigger than - whatever that means Something like 60-odd seasons in the top flight to 20-odd -and that's without getting into the advantages our training ground and owners will give us in the medium-term in terms of attracting players

He definitely isn’t a wing back, not fast enough. Fox as a centre back would be a disaster. He switches off too often, is not strong enough, and can be slow to react.

He definitely isn’t a wing back, not fast enough. He'll obviously get some minutes - but I think he's got about 1/3 of his game time so far in the middle and they are largely going to be squeezed now. If he isn't seen as a LWB (surely he won't be?) and we don't play a back 4 (looks a very long way off), he's going to quickly become a spare(ish) part. Have we ever had a younger defence? If we get a young Prem loanee RWB and he were to get in ahead of Smith on occasion, it could be up there with anything we've ever fielded. Bursik 21 New RB? Wilmot 21 Souttar 22 Ostigard 21 Doughty 21

There is no way MON will not field one of Chester or Baath as one of his 3 CB's which makes you wonder who will be happy to be left out, Souttar, Wilmot or Ostigard?

Building a team to grow - Busby Babes? - Mikes Minors? O'Neill's Nippers. I do like the age profile of the permanent signings. It's unlikely they'll all work out long-term, but even if they don't they'll probably have some resale value and won't be on ridiculous wages (comparatively to the bomb squad of the past few years).

I've already said I've never heard of him so can't comment on if it's a good signing or not.

Surely General, unless, MON or one of the Coates family is using the message board under a pseudonym, who we bring in is going to depend upon the club management rather than any opinions written on this message board? I've given up getting upset or worried about any opinions I read on here as regards the football side of the club.
