Surname translates to cheese in farm (most likely derived from A Cheese Farm). Has to have his shirt sponsored by the oatcake surely? or Poveys? Østergård? It means the farm to the east! Thanks Rob. That was my second opinion due to the anglicize Ost. Knew you correct me on that

It is understood that the club was able to register paperwork before midday yesterday to mean he could feature in tonight's Carabao Cup clash against Fleetwood Town.

New deal at Brighton - only 1 extra year though.... www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/2211530/ostigard-pens-new-deal-and-moves-on-loanBrighton and Hove Albion defender Leo Ostigard has signed a new one-year contract, and will head out on a season-long loan to Championship outfit Stoke City. The 21-year-old had an impressive spell in the second-tier last season with Coventry. Head coach Graham Potter said, “Leo has spent pre-season with the first team here and has demonstrated how much his game has developed during his time with Coventry. “This move to Stoke will hopefully see him play regularly and continue with his progression. “David Weir and his team will be in close contact with Leo throughout the year, and we wish him well for the season.” The Norway international joined Albion in 2018 from Molde, having spent time on loan with Viking FK prior to the move. The centre-back headed out to the German 2. Bundesliga for the 2019/20 season, making a real impression as he made 29 appearances for St Pauli. He got his first taste of English football last season with the Sky Blues, who comfortably avoided relegation as Ostigard played 40 times, scoring once – an important goal towards the end of the season against Rotherham United.

Seems like the Coventry fans would have liked him to return there, so that's a good sign.
As you might expect, their fans aren't very impressed with him moving to Stoke....but that's football fans for you.

Who only offers a young player a 1 year extension?.. a club that is only concerned with receiving a fee that's who. He'll definitely be available to buy next summer.

Does his new contract with Brighton just run while he is with us? Or is it an added year to an existing contract?

Another couple of quality signings and the pressure will be ramped up to deliver. I think we've probably had as good a window as anybody and certainly made excellent additions. The board will I think be expecting top 6 as a minimum. MON now has all the staff he wants in place and restructured in his blueprint.

Watching his first words video, hes a confident person, hope hes not too cocky a 21 yr old in the wrong way, other than that, he seems to have it all

Good interview and another transfer that's been bubbling along for a while it seems. Looks like a plan has been firmly in place for this off season and is being delivered. Shaping up into a great window.

‘Kinell, they’re a precious lot. They also seem to think it’s still the 80’s, when Coventry were decent.

This lad’s name really stuck in my head last season for some reason. He must have stood out when we played them, and I feel like they were glowing with praise for him on the wireless as well. Seems a really good loan signing. We could have a pretty tasty first XI at this rate

Yeah, if he does well it means they'll be able to command a fee, shrewd work by Albion!
